  1. ... the last two weeks have seen more progress in our attempt to see completion by the end of September ... the transmission crossmember has been modified to house and support the brake booster and master cylinder ... strengthening gussets were fabricated and the unit has been installed into the chassis ... floor and firewall modifications have been made ... pedal arm assembly is in place ... just waiting of the brake pedal itself to arrive ... the Hurst V-Matic shifter and console have been positioned ....... the console has been rounded to match the curve of the transmission tunnel

  13. ....... one of the greatest cars to come out of my home state of Texas in the mid-60's was the '66 GTO match race "funny Car" of Don Gay ......... sponsored by Gay Pontiac in Dickinson, Texas and with nitro burning Pontiac engines built by James O'Steen, this car was a crowd pleaser wherever it went The model combines a Competition Resins body sitting on a highly modified Rat Packer chassis ....... paint by Cobracolors and decals from SLIXX
  14. Thanks Wayne. The paint is Cobracolors Candy Mayan Gold over Cobracolors Millenium Yellow, and yes I had trouble with both sets of Slixx decals

  18. Yes sir, it was a Busch car ........... Stevie Reeves was a celebrated Sprint car driver who tried to make the switch to Nascar ............ unsuccessfully ..... and thank you for your kind words ......... they are much appreciated
