  4. FUTURAY IS FINISHED! I built the FUTURAY as a Concept Flying Car that was designed in the 1950's. I used parts from the Revell Futura, AMT Silhouette and the AMT Romulan Warbird kits to build the FUTURAY! The WIP Photos are in the Workbench Section...http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=76757&hl= Here are the Finished Photos! Side View! Nice Pipes... Rear View! More Coming...

  6. Thanks Curt! Glad you like it...
  7. Great Start Richard!
  8. MAKE IT WIDE! After moving the Z-28 Sides around a little I found the Perfect mounting points on the '57 Chevy Body. I held the body parts together and marked the mounting line for the Z-28 Sides. Next, I glued the sides in place with Zap-A-Gap Green Label Glue. Here is the rear view... More Coming...
  9. CAM-AIR! I picked up couple of a Deals Wheels Glue Bombs for a kit bashing project. The plan is to make a Custom Deals Wheels '57 Chevy Street Machine! The Chevy was held together with a Lot of old Testors Glue. I got it wet and put it in the freezer overnight. I managed to get the model apart without doing too much more damage to the body. I glued the cracks in the body with Zap-A-Gap, Green Label CA Glue. Fortunately the body damage wont show on the finished Heavy Chevy. The Camaro Body was in pretty good shape. I decided the put the Camaro Fenders on the Chevy. So, I cut off the body sides with a Cut-Off Wheel in a Dremel Tool. More Coming...

  12. GREAT PROJECT & A GREAT START! Looking forward to seeing the progress on this one Ray! Just a suggestion, You might consider making the Vette Body more narrow, maybe use the Coffin Interior in the Vette...
  13. WHERE THE WHEELS GO... I did a little measuring and I drew in outside corner lines. Then I traced the oval shapes, using the Template. Next using Needle Scribe I lightly scribed the oval shapes, several times, with the Template. Then I used the larger Scribe and enlarged the Scribed Lines. I sanded the Scribed Lines down nice and smooth. Then I went over the Lines a few more times with the Large Scribe. I found some Low Rider Tires that are the perfect size for the Racer! More Coming...
  14. WILD BUILD RAY!
  15. GREAT START! Really like the front end...
  16. One of my Favorites!
  17. LAST FEW DETAILS... Well the Futuray is almost Finished! I painted the interior with Water-Based Acrylics. I was so happy when I dropped a wet brush on the wing and the white splash just wiped off with water! I added a Wide Screen Monitor where the steering wheel shaft used to be. The Monitor is made from a License Plate Frame, with the recessed area painted black. I think the passengers are on auto-pilot now... The Bubbletop is my favorite part in this kit. Here it is the after I applied Bare Metal Foil. Finishing the last few details on the Futuray! Finished Photos Coming Soon...
