X-15 STINGRAY! The Stingray started as a Tom Daniels Cherry Bomb Show Rod. Parts from an AMT Romulan Warbird, Revell F-14 Tomcat and a Revell 1959 Impala were used to turn the Stingray into a Space Rod. I tried to build the Stingray in a "Tom Daniels Style", something like Tom might do. I have been inspired by Tom's Great Designs for years, hope you like it! Contests are not an exact science and the best models don't always win. You can't really take it personally, it comes down to the judges decision on that day, another day would probably yeild another decision. Build for yourself, if you are Happy that's all that counts. Your model looks Great, maybe it will win next time...

Thanks for your comment Rob! The MPC "Can AM" Turbine Engine is my choice, its a Great Fit. 2 Turbocharged Harleys or a 4-Banger Racing Engine would also be an easy fit...

PRIME TIME AGAIN! I sanded the body sides down level with a Sanding Block and then used 220 Sandpaper all over. Next I applied putty and let it dry. Sanded it smooth again with 220 Sandpaper. Here is the body after Filler/Primer has been appled. Now that's a Low Body... More Coming...
