FOUND the RIGHT SPOT!!! Using the Corvette Top as a guide, I positioned the Top on the Cord Body. Then I marked the Spot!

GOT THE TOP! I cut the top off the Corvette with a Cut-Off Wheel in a Dremel Tool.

Thanks Dr.! I am making one body using the parts from 3 or 4 bodies, 2 Cords, a Corvette and maybe the Testarossa...

SECTION The BODY!!! First I removed the rear fenders. Then I removed about 3/4" from the center of the Cord Body, glued it back together and rough sanded it.

Should be Fun!

CORDVETTE!!! Starting a New 12th Scale Project! I am using parts from 2 AMT 37 Cords, a Monogram Testarossa, and a Monogram Corvette so far... Hope to have CORDVETTE in primer for NNL West 2012!!!

Thanks James! The decals were a challenge. As soon as I got them off the backing paper they rolled around themselves! I had to put them back in the water to untangle them, and when I re-applied them them Flame Ends would roll under themselves. A Q-Tip, water and patience finally worked and I got them in place. They decals held together very well considering!

Great Chop! Nice Progress....

Got 'em Tucked in Real Nice!!! The goal was to get most of the tires tread inside the wheel wells, just letting a little stick out past the fenders. That was a little tricky after the interior was installed...but we did it! Look, I cut a huge hole in the Tire so that the tire will clear the interior. Actually, I cut slices in all 4 tires. It worked Great!!! Now for the wheels...

WOW!!! The Showdown Deadline to finish this build is Tuesday the 31st! I better get busy I still have some big details to finish up, like the tires & wheels for one thing!!!
