  1. The Fifth and Last Day...Finishing the Details! The IPMS Meeting last night was Great Fun! In 4 Days, I got the Boss Nova almost finished, close enough to Win a Prize for "My Fastest Build"! Today I did some Touch Up and added last minute Details. I started by attaching the Front Spoiler. I decided not to use the Roof Spoiler. I added a Decals and did some Touch-Up in the Drivers Compartment. I decided a Windshield would not work on the Boss Nova because of the huge amounts of Exhaust in the Interior. So I passed on the glass and added big Fans next to the Driver. More Coming...
  2. They are inside the body. They fit just inside the window openings...
  3. Thanks Bob! So glad you like it...
  4. We've Got a Driver! Here is a good comparison between the Stock Chassis and the Shaker Nova Chassis. Got the Driver Finished. I also added 2 more Bars to the Roll Cage, between the front axle and the Gauge Bar. Added a few details from the Corvette Pro Stock Kit including the Pedal Assembly, Greebles up front, Seat, Fire Extinguisher and a Tac later... More Coming Tomorrow...
  5. Thanks Joe! Yes, it is a Exhibition Wheel Standing Car and Yes, it will be able to be posed doing a Wheel Stand or on all four Tires...
  6. New Roll Cage! I decided to replace the stock Roll Cage rather than modifying it to fit. I started with a length of plastic tubing in the center/back on the rear of the Main Roll Bar. The Bullet Fuel Tanks are from the parts box. I cut the bottoms from the old Roll Bars and glued them in place with the Steering Wheel and Gauges Bar. Then I joined the Main Roll Bar and the Gauges Bar with 2 lengths of plastic tubing. I had to put the Driver in place before I could finish the Roll Cage. More Coming...
  7. The Forth Day... IPMS Meeting Tonight! Got the Engines Glued in place. I had to remove the Injectors from the Superchargers so the new Scoops will fit inside the body. Here are the Scoops in place. I added a Front Section to the Drivers Protective Panels. More Coming...
  8. Great Build!
  9. Thanks Joe! So glad you are enjoying it. I ended up using the Headers from the Double Dragster Kit...
  10. Thanks Wayne! Glad you like it...
  11. Great Builds!
  12. Boss Nova Chassis! I built up the Chassis. It's mostly stock except I added a New Straight Front Axle. The Frame was a bit warped so I twisted it and then put some weight on it. It's pretty Straight now... The "Bugcatchers" were too wide, so I made Custom Supercharger Scoops from "Cherry Bomb" Headlights! Next I sprayed the Grill and Bumpers with Tamiya Silver Leaf. Then I used "The Detailer" Black Wash on the Grill. More Coming Tomorrow...
  13. Day Three...Body and Chassis! I found some 40 year old 59 El Camino Decals for the Nova. When I tried to apply the Shaker's Decals, they both started to disintegrate. I was able to get them on pretty good, but I had to touch them up with some acrylic paint. I cut down the Boss Nova Stripes to fit into the painted Black Stripes. After the decals dried, I applied 3 coats of Testors Glosscote. Rear View! More Coming...
  14. Thanks Mike! I planned to make it a Simple Top Chop, it went very well...
  15. Later That Day! I decided to add a Driver to this Wheel-Standing Wagon. I found a Tamiya Rally Driver that seemed like a good possibility, so I added some sheet plastic to extend the floor boards. I 'm using a "Corvette Pro Stock" Seat and Pedal assembly in the Wagon. I also added some sheet plastic for the drivers Protection. Had to "Relax" the Drivers Legs to sit right. More Coming Tomorrow...
  16. Great Project!
