  1. in creditable! now can I net pick? could be the way picture was taken but, is one of the bars blocking the head lamp distorting the beam,No the answer isn't it's only a model, it's engineering! All & all you put much work into this front set up. Looking good highway>
  2. Like the build , I see you have the truck (tractor) with a license plate but, no trailer plate but, I'm sure you have paper work. nice job.
  3. going with black & something else later
  4. just about done
  5. Here is my other build the truck is a kit & rack plus trailer is all scratch built. added 4" to frame of truck. erst is balsa. this came out to be 3'10" bumper to bumper. I also hooked up lights to the truck roof .they work off of 4 batts need to add some more pain to trailer.
  6. I like what you did to the sleeper & truck, when I first saw this I thought you were making a aussi fuel truck or a mich train with all the wheels I have to see this done.Would also have to add have money in tire company for turning that puppy would scuff tires down fast.
  7. Working on rear sleeper entrance & exit. had inset rear door.this isn't attached to the sleeper as yet this is a section put on sleeper after paint job. added farrels & not sure like that yet??????????
  8. Leo that on u tube even with the outside wheels to steady that doesn't convince me it is a safe way to dump. I have been in sugar cane plants & they raise up the whole truck to dump cane, same for potatoes & beets. that has to be much pressure on the out side do nut tires. thanks for your info. ken
  9. Studioman3 had this up (what is this) & this is the best picture I could get on how this truck works. I think they call this a high lift

  13. Let me see ,here is a good point you think it's good you show it & hope maybe someone one may just tell you how they like your work & if it's a pat on the back u can give your self a smile & tell your self (yes it was good ) but be ready for the "are you kidding what is that " approach that might just might have you questioning your own work. Everyone has there idea of what looks good as I do but, I go through this site looking at everything good or bad that I may pick up that little something I forgot to put on model. I think to me this is a good point of the form & get to discuss it with other builders. ken
  14. In regards to snowman's w900 nice job & as for one's saying this & that I guess they have to see pictures but, I thought model building was what your Imagination to what one likes or thinks. posted a few pictures of flat top sleepers. I was in auto transporting for 23years & the reason flat top sleepers they were light. I had a pete & stinger trailer weight empty was 44,000 lbs some southern states pushed the 13' 6" height law. Today you can go from brunswick ga to long beach or tacome wa 14' foot high came about is because, vans & autos got bigger & heavy so to get the height down on auto transports western star first came out with flat top sleepers. A auto hauler (wagoner) had also cut tops off & flattened them out on some rigs than put a port hole air vent in celling for air. drove this truck for them & I can tell you you wouldn't get up to quick without bashing your head.
