  1. Fantastic build Chris! I have been wanting to try the Pearl Ex powder method. How much powder to you add to how much clear?
  2. Really awesome job! I have been meaning to pick up one of those so I can do a replica of my dad's - the car I learned to drive in! His was a medium green and I have seen pics floating around the internet of one done just like his. Again, great job!
  3. Just awesome!
  4. Awesome build! I just logged on and did a search for woodgrain (buildin the Ice-T show rod and needed examples for the bed) and I am loving your example!
  5. From a previous post:
  6. Those wide whites just look proper! Very well done.
  7. Beautiful paint and excellent details!
  8. Craig, this is just fantastic! I love the look of the exposed light tubes. And I have to mimic Greg......How did you pull off the realistic fresh grinding on the Chevy's quarter panel??
  9. glad I could help guys!
  10. Here is a neat little site: http://jbwid.com/scalcalc.htm
  11. Jim, I am not certain, but I think it is not a good idea to use ANY solvents in an ultra-sonic device. Just my two cents. Need change?
  12. Luck? You don't need any luck! That is looking just spectacular! I originally thought the nose was too heavy and the back light too squared off, but seeing it mostly monochromatic, I see that I was wrong.
  13. Congrats on 1st Place!
  14. Looking good. Excellent work on the weathering. Welcome to the forum!
  15. Great topic! I love the late model motor in a mid-fifties ride.
  16. Paul, That color is stunning! Fantastic build
  17. These are great builds. I love both of the colors
  18. George, The paint was Model Master Custom Lacquer "Citrus Yellow Metallic" over Tamiya White Primer and clear coated with Future Floor Wax. How anyone can call that "yellow" is beyond me.....
  19. Thanks for the kind words guys! And Nick, do you mean that I might persuade you to leave the "dark" side?
  20. Thanks a lot, Bob! I am sure you have inspired a great many of us!
  21. Nice clean build! I love the traction bars!
  22. Thank you for noticing my attention to detail, Gerald.
  23. Thank you Jim. Actually, when I was young, the driving influence for me to build models were two of my older cousins. They specialized in base model and stock builds. Their entire collection looked like detailed promos. I especially liked when they would replicate a vinyl roof car.
