  2. ok hotrod fans! i got a new car its the revelle {32 5 window duece}. and i got it almost done i made a replacement front axle. and rear axle both axels R metal and the rear is from a 34 ford kit. made new blue tint glass with holes punched in it. a sun vizer on the roof. headers from the 34 kit a custom blower scoop that i made from a plastic spoon handel. looks like a dagger tip. white wall tires int. is stock ex. the colum shifter and it has a blown hemi big block in it fully wired. pullys were junk parts so im gunna ad a real <rubber band> belt on it. has caddy bullet quad lites. as well as other things. and last but not even least the cool kustom paint job is red & black fade job with firey exsplosive yellow and orange flames all over the car and a skull on top of the grill shell im gunna use the small head lites with the tinted red lens. rims are gunna be steales with moon caps or the five sloted and five spoked cragers. pics will come soon. so tell me what u would think.
  3. i used to do the same thing with a 67 chevelle and a 57 bel air. i made them in to elkys although mine were very rouhg looking. and not very good ether.

  5. ok let me know what you guys and (mabye girls). think of a crazy evil looking 34 ford deuce as high boy. with a all new kustom arrow shaped chrome grill with no grill shell. very wide and big rear slicks & camero road tires in the front with torq thrust rims and deep dish 5 slotted crager mags. a yellow mustang engine with blower a custom scoop. and 4 barred header pipes with racing bucket seats. a modern looking dash with a cool steering wheel. and i even throw in a piston shaped shifter too. just 4 the heck of it. and last but not least a wild chopped top roof with a classic styled flame job. and will be in gloss lite blue with a yellow chassis. i started working on it i will have pics soon. its gunna be realy cool. also did i mention it will also have dark blue head lights.
  6. im still looking for any commints or any tips out their!!
  7. well i got a 69 nova 2 in 1 muscle car. that i messed up a bit and need to get perple power. and strip all messed up paint on the body. missing a bit of parts and it is still waiting to get fix. im thinking of warking doors and trunk blower scoop with blown moter. rear spoiler and quad pipes and its flamed out. and wider slicks and deep dish rear rims. and a new rool bar parachutes and wheely bars. that and a hot rod tach gauge with a racing steering wheel. this will look very cool i dont got any picts posted yet. but i took the dameged picts on my dads phone though. and also any ideas on how to make a parachute, spoiler and wheely bars?
  8. man thats one cool hot rod! i was thinking it was in american grahettiy or grease.
  9. ok i messed up with the roll bar in the kit. and now im missing a big piece of it. so im thinking of using the sprue tree for making a new one. 1st thing i did was chop it up some to insert. so straw tubing so it looks like its got some padding on it. any other ideas or tips would be helpful. note; also how do you guys make rear spoliers, parachutes, and wheely bars any way?
  10. i got a idea use metal coat hangers and make them in to metal axles well you probably think am crazy well im not this is the cheapest way i found to do and best of all its easy ok 1st you take a metal hanger then your wire cuting pliers a hammer and another pair of pliers then you cut long peases of all the metal rods off from the coat hanger the now use the 1st and 2nd pair of pliers for bending it out because of the round curves next take the hammer and bang the rods till they are all straiten out and their you got metal axles for your plastic model trucks big rigs and cars they are also more stronger and tougher than the plstic nubs sticking out of the chassis and those snap off alot since plastic aint that strong. [also note; some of these might not fit on wheel backs so you might want to heat them up to drive through the plastic to make them fit to the wheels.;]
  11. also note i dont have any pics right new sorry!!!!!!!!!!
  12. so you thought this was going to be about old mopars from the 1950s well its not its about cuting the spokes off the rim's ring. ok this is easy but a little bit hard to do ok you start with any rim with 4 or 5 or more spokes on the wheels that comes in the kit of any model you choose to cut the rings off the spokes you can ether use scrap rims you have no use for or the ones in the kit you got i like to use the stock wheels for trim rings to use them as custom hotrod or drag racing styiled rims to fitbigger and wider tires exspeciley rear slicks for hot rods and dragsters. but thats just me. any way you can use a exacto knife by heating the blade up with fire so the hot blade can melt and cut through the plastic easer or a tac with a sharp point and poke holes in the spokes to cut off the ring of witch thats what i did and sand the rings with sand paper and finile glue them on other old or new rims for a cool new look. there also great for big & wider rear slicks for the new hot rod or drag racing look. note some model kits might already have them as atatchments for costom model car and truck kits like the new kustom choped top 49 merc. kit from revelle
  13. ok i found out that germ ex hand sanatizer works plastic model cars it removes chrome plated parts with perminate marker ink as well as plain chrome plated parts and plain perminate ink from sharpe markers even on windows and other clear parts all you got to do is get some germ ex pourit in a cup jar a lid etc. then put your ruined parts in it let it soak for some hours or a day than once thats done just use any type of rag or towel to clean them off the result is a nice clean part with no ink or chrome or both on it all though some parts that have hard to reach spots like the rims corners and tiny spots will have some ink or chrome left on for that you can use a paint brush diped in germ ex or a old tooth brush for that but i use my paint brush though i also use sharpe marks for detailing and paint its so easy even a cave man can do it. you also need to wash the stuff out of the container and your parts with soap & water that way it wont mess up your paint job or new window tint.
  14. very cool i wish mine that made out of a chevelle looked better bwt mine had tape for a roof and had cracks all over the body
