  1. One was even rebodied back in the day. Swedish race car driver Ulf Norinder had a new body made by Drogo for his car. That body was later removed and sold. It's now on another Ferrari chassis. The GTO chassis got another GTO body. I don't know if was entirely new or the old one put back on. IMHO, the Drogo car is quite attractive: http://www.tybrainstorm.de/drogo/1-norinder.html
  2. It's not always about identity theft. Sometimes an internet stalker just wants to post info about you on a completely unrelated website. I used to be on a political forum. There's one guy there who averages 19 posts per day. He has been know to call law enforcement in the town of people who disagree with him. He'll tell LEOs that Joe is up to no good. He posted info about me from other sites. He requested a medical book from one of those "Call now for an informative book..." type places and had it sent to me. He's not trying to take money from me, but harassment rarely is about money. I know I rant about non-descriptive thread titles, but I do not play mini-mod. Two thumbs down for the OP.
  3. For the benefit of anyone who didn't see your earlier posts, what kit is it?
  4. This may sound heretical, but why not have someone make a custom decal? It would have clean edges and be in scale.
  5. Where did you get the engine?
  6. To finish anything. Hopefully in time for the San Antonio IPMS show. Find an Italeri 275GTB. Brew more beer and mead
  7. Make one in 1/24.
  8. Tom Kren stole a Malibu?
  9. Enlarge those wheel openings. Show off those monster meats.
  10. We've all done it. I'm on a machining forum and the mods deleted 2 of my posts and apologized to the new guy whose feelings I hurt. (To be fair, he did everything wrong that he possibly could have in writing an OP. That's right; I'm a jerk and I have no apologies!). So just relax. Pick up some Fuller's London Porter on your way home tomorrow, and chill out. Hey- why not stop by the PSAB Chat Room on Saturday night? Remember the time difference. No one is there during the daytime. http://client.sigmachat.com/sc.php?id=12510
  11. I think that's an awesome idea, Gregg. I'm looking forward to those articles. I love the magazine already. Articles like that will only make it better. Kudos for a great mag and forum.
  12. I was talking to someone on a completely unrelated forum. Model cars came up and he said he just threw away a bunch of kits he built in the '60s and '70s, including a Petty Charger "...it was a clear see through bodied one, in a larger scale."
  13. Austin will likely lose its last "real" hobby shop on December 31st. They are calling it quits due to slow sales over the last 2 years. It is up for sale, but I have to wonder if they will find a buyer in this slow economy.
  14. i dont understood. why somebuddy wood cut up a gud caddilac... Oh I can't do it. Nice work, man. I like your green hearse, too.
  15. BigPoppa- I don't have photos of the clamps, but here's a cargo box I made for a model work truck. The clamps were a huge help. Just glue one joint at a time, then add bracing. Use thick sheet plastic, too. It may take a couple of tries, but it's not impossible. Hey- someone has to build the masters for all those resin kits.
  16. What roof is that? It looks wild!
  17. Woohoo! Gregg pinned it. First question for '09 contest; will you allow large scale?
  18. I think this is a really cool idea that "fell through the cracks". I'm going to PM Gregg to see if he can make it a sticky. I'd like to ask if the organizers would consider restarting the contest, or at least setting up a 2009 version.
  19. First I've see of it too. Maybe the organizers can do a "reboot". It's the coolest idea I never heard of.
  20. Truck topper? Just scratchbuild it. It's just a box. The hardest part is getting the 90 degree angles. There are clamps made just for this, however. I got mine at King's Hobby in Austin, TX. Give them a call at 512-836-7388.
  21. That's really nice. What Tamiya color did you use for the body?
  22. I don't have that kit yet. Can you show a side view of the stock kit? What is wrong with the chop as it is in the box?
  23. IIRC, there's a real rat rod in New Zealand with a setup like this. There's also one, also in New Zealand, with an old Cadillac engine like this.
