  1. Lovely! I wish I had the space for a really big kit too, but...
  2. Maybe it's time to pull this baby out of the closet again then... I´ll of course lose the Revell axle. It's mocked up on a chassis belonging to this one. Which will have to wait a bit longer.

    Sikxsha

    Si©k(si)x(rick)sha? A showrod name?
  4. Yup, that's the word for it. Thanks!
  5. You could use one of these as a reflector. I don't know the English word for it but you sew them onto dresses and stuff. Just add a little "bulb" of some kind and use a normal glass outside of it.
  6. I used "Yes Power spray" (Called Fairy in the UK i think) to soften the paint enough to get the main layer off. I'm not sure what to use next. I don't like using brake fluid because of how the plastic feels afterwards. Sometimes I wish I was living in the US since you seem to have a lot of good stuff that we don't here in Sweden. I hope I won't have to feel ashamed about the result once it's done, but you never know. It'll have to be ready for the B.U.C.K. show the first weekend of November. That's the deadline for a community build I initiated at www.skallerackers.se .
  7. Thanks for the heads up Charlie! The subject is correct. I was afraid that's going to happen so I've thought about it. The roof is from a Chevelle that was painted red without any primer so that alone would be enough to take special care. So the yellow isn't much less tricky?
  8. I'm not familiar with that particular type of glue. Is it sticky or does it flow a bit?
  9. Here's my plastic garage today. But what am I building?
  10. Cool, but I take mine without sugar... where will this end?
  11. You wouln't consider that a warning sign would you? I have the same withdrawal symptoms but I can't let it go. Got to have it anyway!! I would never go decaf either.
  12. As they say, this thread is worthless without picures... Sometimes my "hobby room" looks like this. But usually it's a lot more cluttered.
  13. Not that obscure, actually. At least not according to Wikipedia... " Glossary Nissan PLASMA ("purazuma") (Powerful & Econonomic, Lightweight, Accurate, Silent, Mighty, Advanced) is an acronym for the Nissan engine series designed to counterToyota's Lightweight Advanced Super Response Engine (LASRE)."
  14. Formula 560 canopy glue. Flexible white glue that dries unvisible. Perfect for lenses and windows. When it's still wet it's easy to whipe of any excess glue with a soft cloth and some water.
  15. My pet peeve is when some builders have very strict opinions about how things should look and work and don't remember that these are just opinions and as such, only applicable on their own work. Everybody else are entitled to their own opinions and can build anything, anyway they want. To each, his own...
  16. Well, I don't know what the average american makes a month, but here in Sviiiden 95 octane gas costs about 8 bucks a gallon. Actually it's 15 SEK per liter, but that's harder for you to compare.
  17. Got this today. A real ePay item, but I love it. We´re just about the same age.
  18. I wish you all luck in this "global" event. It's about as global as the World series is world wide. Oh, well, americans.
  19. Saturday at noon in Gothenburg, Sweden. I dug out my old -51 Chevy. Time to start wrapping this project up I guess.
  20. That extensive explanation would have been even better with a couple of pictures.
  21. A friend of mine woke up one morning to find that his pup had turned this body.... ...into this mess... I know he was a bit upset but he´d never do anything bad to the dog.
  22. AH HAAA... but I'm quite sure it said so before. Read the ad again and you will find this: The seller has revised the following item information: Date Time Revised Information 18-Jan-12 08:33:19 EST Description Title Which makes me wonder... which one of you here is called kingofmodelcars on ebay?
