  1. What are some of the distinguishing differences in Model"A's" and Deuce roadsters? I know the grilles are quite different, but many "A's" use Deuce grilles. I'm going to be redoing an "A" roadster I bought as a built-up. I look on the internet for examples for ideas etc..
  2. That is a unique color. I like it! Noticed some different shades in nail polish. I use a clear for attaching license plates, coating light lenses etc. Will evenyually use some of the colored for a paint job. ( if you see typos, I have help from a pet cat)
  3. That sounds wild. Not sure I would want to be on a lawnmower moving that fast. Do they have a stremliner class for lawnmowers? When I lived in Flowery Branch my yard was too hilly for a speedy mower! :-) lol
  4. http://s810.photobucket.com/albums/zz26/hoosierfarmboy/Decorated%20images/ Tho I would post a recent build I've been doing. Soon be finished. Will post when completed.
  5. Thanks for the info Eric. I went thru the sites and found some info that was helpful. I will check out the earlycobra site also. I found a judging list on Mustang Club of America that has guided me some. I tried doing overspray but it didn't do well, so resprayed floor pan. Planning on posting pix of the build later.
  6. thanks very much. these pix are really clear and helpful. Hoosierfarmboy
  7. Building an OOB 80 Mustang Turbo Cobra. Need pix for undercarriage detailing as well as engine compartment Thanks Hoosierfarmboy
  8. This is one sharp Lark. These are not seen much, so that in it's self makes it special. The color is super. The build id just great all around.
  9. I like this theme tremendously. The Woddy Pickup idea is neat. Also a great build. I like the use of the mesh wire grill too. maybe I can come up with a twist on the theme.
  10. Having had a 1:1 50 ford, the stock trans were cast just like the block. For stock paint them black for simple build or use one of the matalizers that would replicate the cast color.
  11. I have a 50 pickuo kit in my project line. Probably will customize it. I like the realism you have portrayed in this unit. I can see it as a shop truck too, or just sitting in some driveway as the 'gofer' vehicle. Good work.
  12. Success! It sure seems the humidity here was the problem. Gave it a light wet sanding with 3200 grit paper and repainted with clear. Dried nice and glossy! Added 2nd coat and same results. Art, you're right on the humidity nickname for Indiana. Especially here in Southern Indiana close to the Ohio River. Thanks all for your help. Will be posting completed car sometime soon.
  13. Clear coated my paint job and it seemed to dry dull. Color paints were Testors Ford credit Red and Rustoleum Metallic Copper. Is this normal? Thoughts are to Wet sand tomorrow. Will polishing be a good idea? If so, what brand etc? If you want to PM use rkaelin6861@att.net http://public.fotki.com/hoosierfarmboy/nazkar-kruzer/img-1584.html Photo taken indoors under incandescent desk lamp. I used Tamiya TS-13 Clear. I was told this is compstible with most paints & that it's a synthetic laquer. Humidity was high @ paint time, temp in low 80's. apologies for leaving off part on info
