Hello I think one of my next scratch building projects will be some kind of rv or camping trailer. I will need some sheet styrene for the sides of the camper but I dont know what kind to get. I need that ribbed camper kind of look. You know, that aluminum stuff that campers are made of. Here is a picture of a camper with the texture I want to replicate. Thanks

License plates
car lover 1996 replied to car lover 1996's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Hey thats a good idea! ! ! The next chance I get I will get down to the dealership and take some pictures. Thanks for the idea ! -
Hi guys, I have another question on how to make a custom license plate. I want to make one of those front plates that the dealers put on that say their dealership name and the brand and town the dealership is in. They usually have a plain white backround and that is why I cant use the acme license maker because you need to have a state picked and cant get a plain backround. I wanted to make one for my local ford dealership (and since it is a local dealer, I cant find a picture of the plate online). So if anyone can help me or has ideas, leave a reply. Thanks

Hi everybody, My next big project will be the squad 51 vehicle from the old TV Show EMERGENCY. Of course I will be using the amt little red dodge truck for the cab and frame. And since the truck in the show is a 72 and not the 78 like the kit, I have to switch the grille to the older style. I found a 72 in resin. But if you guys could give me any other information about where to get parts or maybee you even built one before I would appreciate the help. I guess the only thing I really need to know is where to get the right wheels. I also plan on building the utility box from sheet styrene. They were putting the show on again and I have tto build it. heres the truck

Its hard to explain but what I did was first brush on the testors rust colored enamel from the jar and use plain brush strokes and some spotted areas and brush on flat black in some areas like the top of the tank. Then I sprayed a light mist of flat black from a spray can over it to give it a dusty dirty look. -

Ford H-Series

I was thinking of building one from scratch. You could use a c series cab, frame and probably the engine and most of the interior. With a little modification to the cab, you could have a nice truck to add to your collection.
