  1. Thought this might be of interest. I got this in a press release, it's the ComfortPro Auxiliary Power Unit from Carrier Transicold. "The ComfortPro APU provides climate control – both heating and air conditioning – as well as AC power supply, truck battery charging, engine warming and optional shore-power connectivity."
  2. Renault honored the late chairman of Hanjin Shipping, Sooho Cho, a big supporter of F1, at the Kuala Lumpur race earlier this month by putting his name on a car. He died last year. I got a couple of photos in a release and thought I'd post them here. Hanjin is the only Korean sponsor of F1. Stuart
  3. Spaulding Trading & Shipping has a set of metal bulldogs, one for the hood top and one for each side. http://www.stsmodeltrucks.com/store/agora....et&cart_id=
  4. Casey, that's a good looking build so far, keep it up. I second your vote for a DM-600 re-issue, I love those offset cabs! I built the Ertl model about 30 years ago, then re-built it the early 1990s. Sadly, I put it, and an AMT Kenworth, in a kitchen cabinet for safe-keeping during a house move, then forgot about both of them! Stoopid. I recall seeing somewhere that Macks equipped with Maxidyne engines had a gold bulldog hood ornament instead of chrome. Don't know what engine you've got, but I love those little details. Stuart
  5. Mo'luminum has some nice aluminum parts http://www.modeltruckmafia.com/moluminum.html This guy shows some beautiful machined wheels, don't know if they are for sale http://www.picturetrail.com/gallery/view?p...&uid=674379 Stuart
  6. Bill- I double-checked and it was clear styrene I used, not acetate. Sorry for the confusion, I hope this doesn't compromise my tenuous newbie status!
  7. Nice work on that windshield, Bill. I used the same technique on the windshield of the Revell 59 Caddy. But instead of a channel, I used CA and accelerator applied with a scalpel and carefully worked my way around the inner windshield frame. I polished out the acetate with Novus plastic polish prior to installation. Stuart
  8. I've had a lot of luck searching on images.google.com. You can search on specific terms or keywords: http://images.google.com/images?svnum=10&a...amp;q=payhauler
  9. Don't remember exactly, maybe a railroad forum. There are a lot of resources available on the web but this was an oddball find, for sure.
  10. I thought this would make a challenging subject. Anyone know the maker?
  11. Don't know if anyone has posted this already: http://www.plan59.com/. Galleries of mid-century car and truck advertising and promotional art and photos. Looks like a great resource. Here's a sample:
