  1. very cool. I'm planning to build this truck myself in the future. The questuion that I would have is where are you going to buy the Mule Hood ornament from? Or are you scratch building it? That's one of the things that is keeping me from building the kit.
  2. nice job
  3. Thank you very much Tim. I agree, the Testor's color is to dark. I finally found the perfect Ford Engine Blue color from Citadel Paints. It's Citadel color Enchanted Blue #61-34. When you apply it it will look semi mat. You will need to apply some future polish and it will then look like the engine color and shine.
  4. Thank you very much Harry... I thought of putting the slats on the rear, but the BOSS 302 did not come with them. It may of been an extra option that was available but they didn't come with them from factory. Only the MACH1 and BOSS 429 did. As you can see in the picture you posted, it's of a BOSS 429. But I am planning to build a 1969 BOSS 429 and a MACH1 as well in the future. So I will defently going to keep that in mind for those builds.
  5. more pictures
  6. Finally finished my latest build. I think it came out looking pretty good. Also tried a new thing on this one. I added Flocking to simulate rugs. It came out ok for my first time. I think with more practice I will do better. Here's the pictures of the finished product:
  7. more ppicutre update... Completed the interior... Also worked on wiring and detailing the engine compartment...
  8. Thank you all for your kind comments.
  9. Thank you very much.. Just make sure that you use a grey primer and it will look like this one.
  10. Hi Joe - I started with the Revell 1969 MACH1 model kit and the hood of the Revell 1970 Mustang Special Edition kit that gives you the option of building a 1970 MACH1 or a BOSS 302. You will need the sand down the sides and rear of the hood to make it fit the 69 body.
  11. Thank you very much... No major issue with the front windshied... it went on a little bit snuggly, but no issues.
  12. Hi Jim - I used thin copper wires and hand painted them.
  13. The decals comes in the kit. They give you 3 versions to choice from. They are great decals and they go on smoothly. I like this kit so much that I bought another one. So, there's another Willy's build in the future.
  14. Here's some picture updates: Body completed. Had to fill in the side louvers on the body as the BOSS 302 does not have them. Sanded, applied primer and painted it using Testor's Classic White. Then applied the decals from Keith Marks then applied the cleaar coat. After it dried, i applied the flat black. Then added the Bare Metal Foil. I used the 1970 Mustang hood as the kit gives you two types of hoods, one with the shacker hole and the one without any holes. Had to sand the sides and rear to make it fit the 1:25 scale. I'm still working out the grille issue... but i may end up using the inaccurate grille that Revell send in with the kit. Also completed the Engine (somewhat). Still have to apply more engine compartment wiring. More to come...
