  1. im surprised no one mentioned the front of the truck.. i think that front bar thing (i cant think of the word) looks rediculous... but im not into the whole snowplow truck look. other than that..color combo isnt what i'd do, but it looks good for what it is. and i thought the paint looks fine, other than the white interior part looks kind of bland. good job
  2. i remeber about 10 years ago with my dad, he was building two jeep grand cherokees (or laredos) one was red ,one was white. i loved them when i was younger (hey 10 years ago i was like 12) and always wanted to build one... so i know they existed at one time..but no one here seems to have built one (did a search for jeeps) and cant seem to find any kits..help?
  3. ahh! now im super peeved lol. i used some superglue, and it closed that car right up. but now its all messed up from all the earlier hassle. ill take a pic later and post it. thanks guys!
  4. i usually test fit..and i test fitted this piece as well. before i applied glue, i knew i'd have issues because it didnt mold as well as it should to the body of the car. the glue im using is "model master" liquid cement. its a little odd shaped bottle, and it has a stem coming out of it, like a needle, and the glue comes from the stem piece..should i be using a different type of glue for my models? i think you thought i was using the glue that is in a tube like toothpaste..oh lord no! im not as good as the folks on here, but ive built about 10-15 models, so i have something under my belt.
  5. why is it every single model i build, there is atleast ONE critical screw up during my model making? i swear. the challenger had something wrong with the frame. the camaro's hood came out like ######, and the headlights didnt fit in right. those are just problems on the two recent ones. the current one, revell 1970 mustang boss 429..paint=amazing. everything=amazing. im putting on the front bumper area, AND IT DOESNT MATCH UP RIGHT. so here i am, gluing this together, and just holding it for 10 minutes. i let go, one side becomes to unstick. more glue. 10 more minutes. again. 10 more minutes. again. GAH. now my fingers are picking up the paint cause the glue is coming around, and also my hands are getting sweaty so its just pealing off the paint. GAHH why cant i just have a model with NO problems?
  6. nice! can you tell me what the kit was though? the only kit i seem to be able to find of the new chargers is the uptown revell kit, and i really dont like the way it looks.
  7. personal experience?
  8. i see a lot of these models on here have really cool rims that would be like 24's in real life. or some of the rims are black with chrome lip..i dont understand, where do you find these totally cool rims at? do some of you just buy kits just for parts, and dispose of the rest? i dont have money to throw like that.. ha :/
  9. so you guys are sure compressed air wont ruin it?
  10. where can i find plexiglass display cases? i dont want to make my own, as im not very creative with my hands (ok i know i build models lol)
  11. my models are getting a bit dusty, and i dont have any nifty glass covers or anything so dust wont get into them... i was thinking about getting a can of that compressed air, that people often use for computers and stuff like that..has anyone used it before? i just want to make sure it wont be harmful to my models, like ruin the paint or something.
