  1. After the paint dried on my Dart I decided to wetsand it. An hour later I come back and there are water spots all over the Dart, due to hard water. I tried getting them out but they will require a lot of rubbing, which I don't want to do since the paint is metallic. How would one go about fixing this frustrating problem? Thanks, Andy
  2. Thanks Richard, I just sprayed the Plum Crazy right over Model Master white primer, it came out just fine I just wetsanded it a while ago, it's drying now. Then I'll put some clear on it, the black stripe, and then more clear.
  3. Well guys, I sent her off to the paint booth today!
  4. Well I dug through my stash, and I don't have enough silver paint to get the job done. The closest I have is Metalizer....
  5. Thanks Mike! We only had family over for my birthday, as I have no friends. I guess I'm the oddball kid on the block... And the pallets, I believe those came from actionfarmtoys.com. They are actual 1/25 scale pallets. A long time ago, I always played with my farm toys, which were 1/16 scale. I decided the pallets were too small, and put them away. Then when I started building a couple years ago, I found them again and knew they would come in handy for something! Oh, and I still have trouble opening the glue because it leaks into the cap so bad and then it dries One of my mottos is, "A good whack fixes everything!"
  6. I guess, I hardly ever use putty anyway haha
  7. I'm looking for about the shade of the Dart in the pic above.
  8. 7 bucks for that? Anyhow, thanks for the replies everyone, I never knew putty shrinking was such a big deal.
  9. Thanks for the replies everyone. So Squadron and Tamiya are all one-part then?
  10. Nice build Brandon, and thanks for the link!
  11. Lately I've been really worried about my cheap Testors putty shrinking due to it being one-part. How big of an issue is this? Will letting it dry a long time before primering help?
  12. Real. Harry thought we'd say model! Also, it looks like the inside of the body is painted white, which I believe fiberglass would usually be left white there?
  13. Thanks for the birthday wishes! I got my Plum Crazy, but first I need to get another coat of primer down. I'm guessing for Plum Crazy it's best to use white primer?
  14. Thanks Jim. And I just realized today that my kid days are about over I may have to grow older, but I never have to grow up!
  15. Thanks Richard! I'm not the normal teen though!
  16. Guys guys guys!-it's a MODEL CAR! If I get some birthday money perhaps I'll build a correct Dart...... Anyhow, thanks everyone, and thanks Whale for the birthday wish.
  17. And my mom JUST odered my birthday presents from there!
  18. We don't even live on a major road; we live in the country.
  19. Harry, I WAS going to make a topic that would make a point about that, but never got around to it. Honestly, it annoys me when I click on something thinking it's a tutorial, but it turns out to be a question.
  20. I agree! Once when we were on the road, we stopped at a country store. They had a Lindberg '53 Ford Crown Vic there for $9! Needless to say, I have a '53 Ford Rat Rod on my bench now.
  21. I've always preferred saying it the "Willeeees" way. It sounds coooler that way
  22. Congrats! Just make sure you keep your model stuff up high; apparently I wrecked my dad's AMT USA-1 monster truck!
  23. Yup, "Willis" instead of "Willys"
  24. The show is okay, but the girl on there is even better!
