Hi, If you have seen my '68 Dart project, you know I like to get classic cars for good prices. Well today I stumbled across an ad in a car magazine that caught my attention-an imcomplete Shelby GT350R. Unfortunately it was a replica, but on the bright side I could do more to it. The owner apparently collects classic Mustangs that are incomplete and fixes them up. He only wanted $7,000 for it! I HAD to have it. When I got there, He had a big shop that had two other Mustangs in it-a 1970 BOSS 302 and a GT350H. Here's a picture of them: Anyways, back to the GT350R. It was in the back of the shop. It had a 80% complete motor, and it already had a transmission. It was in white primer, and both of the front skirts were off, but he was nice enough to include them for free. I decided it was mine, and I paid him. As it had no wheels on it, it was quite an adventure loading it up into the trailer... Here's a picture: That's where it will sit until I work on it more! I agree. As soon as I saw it I knew that something wasn't right. Plus on the brush bar up front, you can tell it was a die cast..

Well, I don't mind criticism, unless it IS harsh. I ain't no top-notch builder, but I hope to be really good some day and criticism is how I have learned things in the past. It's the little things that make a big difference. If there's something I've done wrong on one of my builds, I'd like somebody to point it out so I can correct it on that/next build.

Alclad is and airbrush chrome paint. http://www.alclad2.com/ If you don't have an airbrush, I'd try Bare Metal Foil. HTH.

What I do is paint the surface tan. I then put a thinned out black wash over that, and wipe it off. Hope this helps

Sure... I might almost be 13 but who says I can't still play with Hot Wheels? Pretty much everything is scratchbuilt except for the racing surface, which is shingles. Thanks for looking
