  1. I'm wanting to do a custom metal flake paint job on a current project and I was wondering if there was somewhere to get metal flakes that can be sprayed on a 1/24 scale model without looking too giant. I would prefer it to be a flake that can be mixed into clear (similiar to pearl ex powders) instead of a spray can like the testors one coat lacquers. Thanks, Billy
  2. I think we need to have one person to make all the pieces that don't really fit into any category (such as mounting tabs, hood hinges, windows etc..), someone paint all the parts, someone to do ALL the interior work, and someone to put it all together. so after greg is done we need at least 4 more people to participate.
  3. Thanks CaptainAhab!
  4. Wow! thanks for the great comments guys! at first i really wasnt sure how this was going to turn out since it's only the second time I've started a build with a resin body, but I'm really happy with it so far. @ matthijsgrit, heres a link to the tutorial i used for the frame http://www.modelcars...showtopic=58900
  5. I've had this on the bench for the last few months so I figured it was time to make a WIP for it. Progress so far: I started with a Jimmy Flintstone 59 cadillac resin body custom taillights modified from a Revell 70 Challenger upper grill from Revell 59 Cadillac Eldorado Ross Gibson "Alley Rat" 502 engine with scratchbuilt motor mounts I scratchbuilt the frame by following Marcus Jones' how to article in the 'How Do I?" section started planning out the interior started on rear suspension heres the pics.. Let me know what you think! feel free to ask any questions you may have.
  6. Thanks guys, it really means a lot! I managed to finish the bodywork and get some primer sprayed on this week. After spending a few hours trying to scribe the trunk lines without success i just ended up opening the trunk using a decklid i had off of an AMT 49 merc and scratchbuilt hinges. Let me know what you think! I hope to have some color on this soon. Thanks for looking! Billy

  20. Austin, I used to feel the exact same way as you do about age restrictions being annoying/aggravating but I've realized that if you show people that you're not just an immature teenager, you will be amazed at where you end up (for example I started going to work with my dad during the past few summers learning bodywork and paint, and now I have a job building hot rods and muscle cars)
  21. Absolutely stunning! Great work!
  22. No, who is next on the list?
