  1. Here's all the builds I've managed to complete in the last year. (I did start way more than this though....) First up is a replica of my dad's 69' Nova with an inline six that he had as a first car. Next up is another Nova done as a pro touring custom with 69' Camaro bumpers and taillights, scratchbuilt front and rear suspension, and scratchbuilt fuel injection. And here is a 49' Mercury that has 57' Chevy fins and a Flathead under the hood. And last but not least is a mostly box stock 2010 Camaro that I built because I really liked the 1:1 cars in the factory Red Jewel color. Well that's all of them. My goal is to at least finish the ones I've started before starting more but that's much easier said than done lol!
  2. I am definitely making one of those in my front yard!
  3. Count me in with an 86' Monte Carlo. I've got some interesting plans for this one...
  4. I'd participate in this. We're building a 1:1 pro street 39 chevy at work and this would be a good excuse to build a model of it.
  5. Nice work! I'll definitely be following.
  6. Count me in! I'll probably build a GM G-body of some sort this time around.
  7. Lookin good, I can do the chassis if you want.

  9. It takes practice to get a frame built correctly but the best advice I can give is to make sure you measure everything before and after cutting and make sure to constantly test fit every piece. I've had so many projects fail because of cuts that were slightly off and it's unbelievably frustrating!
  10. It will take a little sanding to make it fit but it will definitely work. I'm right in the middle of doing this on mine too.
  11. I've been using a Badger 105 Patriot gravity feed airbrush for a year now and I have yet to find something it won't do. I just hook it up to a regular harbor freight air compressor with a regulator to keep the pressure down around 25-30 PSI.
  12. That is one great looking El Camino!
  13. Nice work on the chop, what's the hood made out of?
  14. I recently got an AMT "pro shop" 32 Ford Phantom Vickie kit and it had 2 right side engine halves and no left one.
  15. Thanks for the comments guys! I'm not usually a fan of big wheels either on cars this old but I think they give it a modern look and I'm enjoying the challenge of getting them to fit the way they should in a way that would work on a 1:1.
  16. Unless you want to lift it way up in the air Minitubbing it is the way to go. It's actually pretty simpe to do and not very noticable once the wheels are on if you're worried about stock appearance. When I built this one I left the outside of the stock tub (the part that meets up with the inside of the body) in place and removed inside of the tub and the floor all the way to the outside edge of the frame rail. Then just cut a strip of styrene that is as wide as the new tub will be and glue it to the piece of the stock tub that's left to form the main part of the tub and cap off the inside of the tub with more styrene. I hope this helps, let me know if something doesn't make sense. Billy
  17. Great job! I really like where this one is going.
  18. Thanks guys! It'll be as low as it'll go with these wheels After some messing around with the front suspension and almost breaking it I decided to make it functional so I could set the ride height exactly where I want it during final assembly. Basically all I had to do was cut the kit suspension apart and drill holes where bolts go on a 1:1 and add brass tubing where the "bolts" go through the frame. since I don't trust the plastic to hold up very well. Fully lowered.. Fully raised... And a pic of where it sits as of now. It'll be a little lower in the end though. Thanks for looking in! Let me know what you think and feel free to ask any questions you may have. Billy
  19. Nice work! The chop looks great.
  20. The front looks good, almost Ferrari like, but the rear looks like a Camaro with a really oversized body kit.
  21. I need to make one of these, It looks like a great tool.
  22. No shortage of power there! This build gets better with every update.
