  3. Congratulations! I'm sure you'll have a great time with the restoration. (I'm about to finish my Regal and It's been a great experience!)
  4. Cool! I saw an article a while back where a guy did this with a 1:1 Mustang. I can't wait to see how this turns out!!
  5. I'm definitely interested in a few of these!
  6. Very nice! Great painting on the wood parts.
  7. I can't stand it when people do things like this. I hope you're able to get your bike back.
  8. Thanks Bryan! It's good to see you're back.
  9. And here is the last modification I'm doing to this. I had a diecast Mercedes with angled back headlight lenses so I decided to use them instead of the stock ones. And the finished product. (The lenses are'nt attached in this pic. And here's a shot of the taillight openings. Thanks for looking, Let me know what you think. Feel free to ask any questions you may have. Billy
  10. Ok Here's the pics, I'll start with the taillight how-to. Here's the quarter panel before anything has been done. First trace the outline of the taillight onto the quarter where you want it to be. Next cut the outlined area out. (I used a razor saw) Now test fit the taillight and file the opening until if fits. To do the point above the taillight I taped the light in place and built up the area above it with filler and then sanded it flush. This is the opposite side but I did the same on both sides.
  11. That's awesome! I love the color and the chop is perfect.
  12. Thanks everyone! I just finished sanding the first coat of primer qnd I'm working on a how-to for the taillights. I'll have pics up tomorrow.
  13. Wow! Thanks you so much everyone for the compliments! It's great to know people enjoy my builds as much as I enjoy building them . Jason, I think the side pipes came from a 67' Chevelle pro street but I'm not 100% sure about that since I got them in a box full of random parts a long time ago.
  14. Looks awesome! I like that color.
  15. That turned out great, I really like the tinted taillights.
  16. Thanks guys! Kevin,I used the Monogram "Classic Cruiser" 82 corvette.
  17. Well here's my next project, It's a Revell Henry J gasser kit that I chopped somewhere around 4mm and now I'm working on converting the tilt front end into a "stock" one with an opening hood and I'm using 57' Chrysler taillights. I'm not really sure how this build will end up but right now I'm thinking It'll be LS powered and definitely down in the weeds. Let me know what you think! Billy
  18. Thank you everyone! Here is a link to the under glass thread http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=75077#entry943558

  20. Here's my most recently completed project. I started with a Revell 49' Mercury kit and modified just about everything. Here's a link to the WIP thread http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=66908&hl=
  21. Thanks everyone! I'll do a tutorial on the next one. Harry, i completely agree that it sits too high but most of today's "lowriders" have hydraulics that lift them way higher than this so I think the height is acceptable.
  22. I just finished the final details on my builds. I can't wait for tomorrow!
  23. Thank you all for following along and for all the encouragement you all have given meduring this build I really appreciate it! I've been really busy trying to finish it these last few weeks and after several mishaps it is finally done. Here's a few teaser pics until I post the under glass thread. Billy
  24. I've had this kit for a while now and I recently decided to build it to practice some painting techniques. I built it a curbside so there isn't any engine detail and I added a set of pegasus wheels to complete the lowrider look. Thanksfor looking! let me know what you think. Billy
  25. Nice work! Summit white is a great color for these cars. Where did the supercharger come from?
