  1. Thanks guys! Nick, I believe the wipers are the ones that came with the kit but they might also be from a 60' Impala kit I used some parts off of. Doug, thanks for the compliment! I always try to figure out a pattern that "works" with the particular car I'm painting. Most of the time I end up taping 3 or 4 times before I get something I'm totally happy with. And I never would've thought of cutting foil with 2 blades like I do with tape, That's a great idea!
  2. It would definitely have the pinstripe border if I we choose the black hood. I don't like when the whole hood is black either.
  3. I picked up the Torino today, I'm block sanding it right now. I was thinking it would look good with the flat black hood that some of them came with. Would anyone be against me doing this?
  4. Finished pics posted under glass http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=87456&hl=
  5. Finally finished this one, It's my first lowrider build. Let me know what you think!
  6. Ok, I'll look around and see what I can find. Thanks again! Billy
  7. That'll work perfect! Thanks guys! Is there a way to get these individually?
  8. Does anyone make an LS1 engine kit in 1/12 scale?
  9. Cool! Will it be at the MMVA show?
  10. You could definitely mask the trim with some thin tape but I've found the easiest way is to use a black Sharpie marker. If you accidentally get it somewhere you don't want just use polishing compound to remove it. Oh and nice avatar pic, Erik!
  11. I'm not sure if this counts as "selling" so Mods feel free to remove it if needed. I recently started doing paintjobs for a few people and I figured I'd throw this out there for anyone needing some airbrushing done. I can do Lowrider roof patterns, Realistic Fire, Metal Tears etc.. All paint is automotive urethane from DuPont and Kustom Shop. I'm working on getting a website made but for now I'll just include a link to my photobucket account http://s918.photobucket.com/user/bkcustoms_bucket/library/Custom%20Paint?sort=3&page=1 I can be contacted through PM or this email address: bkcustomspaint@gmail.com Thanks, Billy
  12. I think I have a set of those tires laying around somewhere, If I find them you can have them.
  13. Did this ever get finished? It looks great so far!
  14. I agree with Fred, the rear bumper/taillight panel in this kit is hideous! Other than that I think would look great box-stock.
  15. Very cool! What kind of engine will you be using?
  16. Very nice! I started one of these a while back, I really need to finish it.
  17. Very nice! Definitely the best build I've seen of this kit.
  18. Not yet, Still waiting on a reply
  19. What type of paint are you using? If it's Enamel Donn's method works great! If it's automotive paint (urethane) sand with 800-1000 grit, I've had issues with it not sticking that well when I use anything finer than that.
  20. Not yet, he still hasn't responded to the PM I sent.
  21. I'm currently building a 68' using the method Casey described. The Revell parts fit surprisingly well under the AMT body.
  22. Good idea! I'll definitely be making one of these.
  23. I think it looks great! Nice touch putting flames under the hood and floor too.
  24. I sent Carlos a PM with my address so he can send it as soon as he's ready.
