  1. This just keeps getting better! I can't wait to see some color!
  2. Thanks José and Roy! I had the same thought about the mirrors, I'm cutting them down right now. I managed to get most of the motor put together and I started on a custom serpentine setup for the engine accessories. I'm sending the valve covers to VCG Resins to be cast and they will be available to go with the LS7 kit. Thanks for stopping in and please let me know what you think! Billy
  3. I'll be there for sure!
  4. I'd be willing to send these valve covers I've been working on to Manny to add to the LS7/LS9 kits if anyone is interested. Here's what they will look like when I finish them.
  5. This is absolutely awesome. I can't wait to see more!
  6. Thanks guys for the feedback, I appreciate it! Bill, I didn't know the theme was Vettes. I guess I HAVE to have it done in time now! Well I finally got my camera working properly and I sprayed a coat of primer on the body. I also molded in some aluminum exhaust tips since the back end looked a little plain. I'm considering making a procharger still but here's where I'm at with the engine. I just thought this was a cool pic. Thanks for looking! Billy
  7. Thank you everyone! I've finally made some progress worth sharing. First I decided to build the door jambs and hinge the doors. I was originally going to get a set of scissor door hinges but they are not currently available so I stuck with stock ones. Next I started getting the chassis set up to fit the body correctly and I also needed to raise the ride height a little. All this really involved other than shortening the wheelbase was the addition of a .40 square rod down both sides of the floor. And the last thing I did was start on the engine bay that will house the LSX engine and possibly a procharger system. sorry for the blurry pictures, my camera wouldn't focus for some reason. As always I'm open to criticism and suggestions. Billy
  8. These wheels are too tall. Cut off the tops of the tires and maybe part of the wheels.
  9. Definitely the Revell 49' Mercury. I've already built three and I have several more planned.
  10. Great colors on both! Last weekend I rode in a demo derby and we we're beat by a 56 Desoto with a paintjob similar to yours. it was kind of sad to see a cool old Desoto get smashed up though...
  11. This is really cool! I need to get a lonestar kit soon.
  12. That looks really nice! The ford roof looks much better than the stock one.
  13. Thanks Ray, that was my goal to make the flames accent the car instead of over powering it.
  14. This is going to be awesome! I'll be watching.
  15. Thanks guys! Right now I'm thinking grabber blue with satin graphite coves and maybe some grand sport stripes.
  16. Here's something I've been messing around with for a few days. It's the Monogram "highway scenes" 60' Corvette kit with a Ferrari California front bumper, A viper roof and windshield, and a Sting Ray III rear window and rear roof section. It Will sit on a C6 chassis and have functional Lamborghini style doors. Thanks for looking, I'll have updates soon.
  17. Here's the most recent addition to my Regal. (And my first time airbrushing anything besides a model)
  18. To be honest I wasn't sure what I thought about this build when you started it but you have definitely turned it into a great custom!
  19. Shapeways site says the lamborghini hinges aren't for sale. Is there any way to get a set?
  20. I recently did some bodywork on a 1:1 58' Corvette and the underside/inside of the body was pale yellow bare fiberglass.
  21. My house is far from the neighbor's view so just like Rob said I've only been asked about my builds when they're my Laptop background at school.
  22. Nice paint! I definitely don't see any flaws in it.
