  1. I've melted parts with glue and one time I melted a body with too much thinner in my paint.
  2. I took my Regal to a car show a while back and I heard at least 3 different people argue over whether it was a Monte Carlo or a Cutlass. And I also got told that my car couldn't possibly be a Buick because "they all came with turbo 6 cylinder motors" and mine has a Chevy 350...
  3. Wasn't this in HOT ROD Magazine a few months ago? I think it would make a great model!
  4. Thanks everyone! I really appreciate your feedback. The side pipes will be staying but I have an idea that will make them look a lot better. Johann, the engine I'm using is from the Revell 2010 Camaro kit (which is actually an L99) but all the LS engines are pretty much iidentical on the outside so I'm calling it an LS7. This engine can also be found in the 2002 Camaro kit with a manual transmission and in the C6 and Z06 kits with a rear mounted transaxle.
  5. What exactly was "wrong" with it? I don't see any issues with it at all and I've been looking at all the pics you posted very closely.
  6. Thanks Ray! Here's a small update, since I Z'd the frame in the back the floor no longer fit so I built a new floor section in the rear.
  7. Thanks Jim! I got the wheels from a vendor at a local contest. I think they are made by a comlany called JPSpro but I'm not 100% sure.
  8. Thanks guys! I'm working on the floor right now, I should have an update. in the morning. Tom, I've wondered the same thing. I personally think it's a great kit. Mike, the front suspension is AMT Phantom Vickie control arms with scratchbuilt spindles made out of aluminum tubing and the rear suspension is aluminum tubing with dirtmodeler rod ends and brackets.
  9. I've started another Corvette project, this time it's the Revell "Vette Agin" kit. so far I've Z'd the frame, added aluminum wheels, rear 4 link suspension, Mustang II style front suspension, and I'm working on a twin turbo LS7 and airbag suspension for it. The color will be HOK Sunrise Pearl with gunmetal trim. thanks for looking, all input is welcome! Billy
  10. Great idea spraying a transparent coat over the decals. It looks awesome!
  11. Well I finally got around to finishing a little body work on the Henry J (nothing really picture worthy though) and I dexided it needed different headlights since the Mercedes ones just don't look right to me anymore. So now I'm on the hunt for headlight buckets from the Revell "Vette Agin" kit. Here's a pic of the Mercedes lights that I'm not happy with. I think they're too small and they remind me of some kind of bug lol
  12. I got to see this build in person at the MMVA Show last week and it is absolutely amazing! Keep up the great work Bill!
  13. Great bodywork Ken, I will definitely be buying one of these in resin! I'm amazed at how you were able to find all the shapes you needed in common parts.
  14. Cool! I've been thinking about building one of these for a long time but I never got around to it. You may have seen this already but I found a link to a 1:1 build of this car that might help you. http://www.pro-touring.com/threads/64658-PROJECT-CHANGLING-1966-Volvo-P1800-Toyota-Supra-build
  15. Amazing work! I never realized how many differences there were between the different versions of this car. I can't wait to see more!
  16. I really like the green, but the blue would look great also.
  17. Not me! Lol. I still have most of the vette interior to finish but I think I'll make it.
  18. I like this one.
  19. Everyone's projects are looking great! I'll be done with my current Corvette project in a week or two and work will continue on the Henry J soon after.
  20. The Metallic blue car looks really good! I think that's my new favorite. Not sure about the red stripe on it though.
  21. I finally got around to painting it! Color is Model Master Grabber Blue and the cove is a custom mix of DuPont metallic gray. Thanks for looking! I'm hoping to wrap this one up in the next week or two. Billy
  22. My vote goes for either grabber blue or that light green posted earlier with the yellow/black stripes, modern wheels, and probably lowered a little.
  23. I agree we should definitely keep the engine under the hood unless it's getting chassis work that would actually support a blown/supercharged motor if it were 1:1.
  24. I'll join in, How about a 51' Henry J Kustom?
  25. Count me in too!, I think my best area would be bodywork and/or paint if possible but I can do chassis work too.
