  1. Holy warpage! If anyone can fix it you can Kenn. I'll be following.
  2. Wow! I would've never thought this would look so cool as a wagon.
  3. Looking good so far! I might need to dig mine back out and finally finish it now.
  4. My dog made something very similar in the front yard earlier today.....

  6. The first Revell 49' Merc kit I got was glass smooth.
  7. Yep, that's the stuff, It's Urethane just like most automotive paints. I'm not sure on the thinner ratios though since I got it in a pre thinned paint kit.
  8. Kustom Shop triple deep black is the purest black I've found.
  9. Nice to see they worked out! Are they up for sale yet?
  10. And here's a few more pics. This one shows the shine it has... Thanks again for following along, next up is finishing the chassis. Billy
  11. Thank you for all the positive feedback! It is very appreciated! I have made lots of progress this week, the body is sanded and polished, the interior is finished, and I figured out what grille I'll be using.
  12. I've been using DuPont base coats with Nason urethane clear for a while now and I recently started using Kustom Shop paint for airbrushing graphics.
  13. A tan leather color with brown inserts would work well with the body color IMO. Nice build so far!
  14. Thanks for the compliments guys, I really appreciate it! This past weekend was paint time. The color is a custom candy blue pearl over Kustom Shop "Speed Blue" urethane with Nason clear. I decided to repaint the floor since there were a few bad spots in the black. The color is really a lot lighter than the pics show. Thanks for following along! I'll have this one wrapped up soon. Billy
  15. I've never built a totally box stock model before, there's always thing I want to change in a kit.
  16. If you can polish the paint to a point where you're happy with it, then I think you should leave it. The color is perfect for this car IMO.
  17. This is amazing, every piece looks so clean and perfect. Keep up the great work!
  18. This is cool! I can't wait to see how it turns out.
  19. I've been working hard all weekend and I got a lot done. Engine bay is done and ready for paint... Convertible top is fitted and painted.. seat is painted.. And the body is in final primer. (The blue is just guide coat for when I sand it) thanks for looking, paint will be next weekend! Billy.
  20. This is so cool! Your builds keep getting better and better every time I look.
  21. Thanks Richard and Jason, here's the pins I used. I just drilled out the kit suspension to fit them and used pen springs for the coil springs. http://www.dirtmodeler.com/store/index.php?route=product/product&path=79&product_id=50
  22. I finally painted my Regal in December and I'm working on the last few details now before getting it licensed.
  23. This is awesome! now you've got me wanting to build one!
  24. Thanks Albie and Dennis! a tan interior is a good idea, I was originally thinking black because the car was going to be silver but I think the tan will go better with the light blue I'm using now.
  25. Front suspension is together now and working properly. thanks for looking! I've got about a month to finish this, hopefully I can do it. Billy
