  1. Hi Mitch, I say go for it! You definitely won't be disappointed in one of these chassis, and I'm sure you could pull off any modifications necessary. Do you know what body you would want to use? If I have one I can check if its anywhere close to fitting the chassis so you know what to expect.
  2. Scott, To smooth out the chassis I filed down the really rough spots and airbrushed 3 Coats of Nason SelectPrime. Its a urethane primer that mixes 4:1 with activator and I added 1 part lacquer thinner to get it through the airbrush. After some light sanding I think it'll be ready for paint. I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions. Billy
  3. Thanks Glenn! Hi Mitch, The only reason I'm using the Revell slicks is because I had them already and they fit the wheels I'm using perfectly, I'm sure there are better ones available but I'm trying to use up some of the spare parts I have laying around. I think the frame modification you described would work perfectly to shorten up the TDR chassis. Here's a picture of it next to a Revell 55' Chevy pro sportsman chassis. Oh and the wheelbase on the TDR chassis is 5mm longer than the Revell one. I hope this helps Billy
  4. Both builds look great! What color did you use on the willys?
  5. Looking great so far, Tyrone! I can't wait for the next update.
  6. I also started reshaping a set of revell pro sportsman tires. The modified one is on the left and the original is on the right. Thanks for looking! I'll have another update soon.
  7. Thanks guys! I got the body and chassis in primer.
  8. Thanks Tyrone! Your outlaw Camaro is what inspired me get this one back out.
  9. Great work on the flames! The colors are perfect together.
  10. Thanks guys! Mitch, I think this chassis will fit a few different bodies with some work. the only real issue I see is that the TDR chassis is a full inch longer in front of the firewall than the Revell chassis so most bodies will need the front fenders stretched to make the wheelbase match. I'll take some pictures of the two next to each other to show the differences.
  11. All you would have to do to convert the Revell grand national into a regal is chrome the trim/bumpers, remove the hood scoop and spoiler, and change the motor to a non turbocharged one.
  12. I also scratchbuilt the front struts. Thanks for looking! Let me know what you think! Billy
  13. I finally made some progress on this one. I scratchbuilt the firewall and rear floor/wheel tubs out of sheet styrene.
  14. I personally like the mustang seats a lot more than the ones in the kit. Like Fred pointed out, the difference between the front and back seats won't be very noticable once its assembled.
  15. I'll definitely be watching! Will it be turbocharged or blown?
  16. Looking great so far! The color looks perfect. This makes me want to get mine back out and finish it!
  17. Wow those dimples look awesome!! I can't wait to see some more progress.
  18. Hi Ted, sorry for the late reply. I've been working on this a little at a time, I'll post some pics of the progress soon. The chassis is printed in the white strong and flexible material and the body is the polished version of the same material.
  19. Nice work on the chassis Carlos! I like the variety of colors you used on the suspension parts.
  20. The car is on its way back to Carlos for chassis work. Fred, do you have any pics of the engine?
  21. The bottom ones almost look like the ones in the Revell Corvette ZR1 kit.
  22. Cool projects! What color blue is that on the Chevelle?
  23. Thanks guys! I appreciate it! I hope it didn't sound like I was trying to boast, I just thought it would be cool to share with everyone here Ray, I started building a model of it but then I discovered the wheel openings on the revell kit don't line up from side to side, so I boxed it up. I'll get it back out soon and try to fix it. Hi Dale, There's definitely no shortage of hills around here! Lol. They make great backgrounds for pictures.
  24. Thanks! No it's not a real GNX, if it was I would have kept it pretty much stock.
