  1. To vote for your favorite model, e-mail your choice to: contestvotes@epix.net Use the entry number and please vote only once. Votes will be accepted from Feb. 8 until Feb.19. And remember, don't touch the models. Enter the contest hall here.
  2. If it relates to a song, yes it would fit.
  3. As Casey says, you need to stretch the hood on a W900. A 12V71 would not be found in a W900B or L as I believe DD quit selling the V12s for highway use before the Bs were introduced. The pics below show the engine in a '71 KW W900. AFAIK no one makes the extended hood, if I'm wrong I'd like to know it.
  4. The First Place choice of the judges as well as the Peoples Choice winner is "Margaritaville" by Hollywood Jim Fernandez. The Blue Highway award goes to "Silver, Blue and Gold" by Steve Hinson. Complete results can be seen here. Enter the contest hall and see all the models.
  5. You might try a store that sells parts for the Cub Scouts pinewood derby cars. My LHS has them, maybe yours does too. HTH
  6. And be aware, the second Friday is not always the Friday after the first Saturday. Ask me how I know.
  7. First off, Chris, great model, the details and weathering are as good as I've seen. As far as the wipers go, I owned a 1:1 Astro many years ago and always thought the wipers looked clunky. I guess maybe they were so heavy looking because they moved a large blade to clear the large windshield, compared to most other trucks. The pic is not a real good one (it's actually a pic of a pic) but you can see the wipers. HTH
  8. I was sitting in a Flying J the other night watching Sat. TV and saw a promo for a program on National Geographic channel about a Peterbilt factory. Air time is Sunday Jan 27 at 10:00 PM Eastern. I don't have satellite so I won't see it, but if you do, check it out.
  9. Jerry Schneider came up with the name and BTW he was at the January meeting.
  10. No release date yet, see the link. http://wwwboard.modelcarkits.com/index.pl?read=944387
  11. Mike Dube gave me a disc with photos he took this summer. Samples below with links to the albums. GoodGuys Hershey Jalopy Showdown at the Eastern Museum of Motor Racing. Street Rod Nats East KKOA Show in Biglerville, PA. Enjoy.
  12. A pretty good crowd, more photos here.
  13. My pal Mike Dube went and brought back 2 CDs full of photos. I got the first one uploaded to my FOTKI site, hopefully the rest next weekend. There are 280 there now, here's a sample and a link. http://public.fotki.com/mjcole/car_shows_cruises_/2006/sema/ PS there's lots of other things there if you care to look, 1:1 cars, trucks, models, club meetings, shows & contests, a little resin and some silly stuff. Update, 12/9/06: The rest of Mike Dube's photos from the SEMA show are now online, 872 total.
  14. If you want a really unusual home for your KTA, how about a Dodge? More photos of this and another Bighorn here. Bighorns can be had in resin. More photos and seller info here.
  15. Dave, Far as I know the 600s had two turbos, the 450s a single, if I'm wrong someone please correct me. Here's a pic of a friend's W900 with a highly warmed up 600 doing what it does best.
  16. I have several albums of photos taken at truck shows over the last few years and photos of individual trucks taken here and there. Truck shows this year. Albums of photos of individual trucks. Local truck show from 2005. 2003 edition of the same show. Carlisle truck show 2002, photos courtesy of Vince Putt. Enjoy, maybe you'll find something helpful.
  17. I don't know how much help these will be but I have some photos of a KT in a truck. Click here and then look at the next three photos. I think I have some more someplace, if I can find them, I'll put them up.
