Anyone Installed Traction Bars on a Kit?
Z28 replied to RocketFoot's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Thank you. Not too terribly amount of hours building those in one 1/12 scale. I would imagine in 1/24 scale, it would be a lot different. -
Anyone Installed Traction Bars on a Kit?
Z28 replied to RocketFoot's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Yep, for sure. Like you I’m building a replica of my Z28 in 1/12 scale. Here’s the pictures of what I came up with. -
Does anyone out there know who might make & sell or has built a flat hood for a 1/12 scale 69 Camaro?

Hey guys, looking for some dimensions of the Lakewood Competition "slapper" Traction bars that were popular in the 60's & 70's on street/strip cars. I can find a ton of pictures but no spec's (length, width, height, etc.). Looking to build a set for my 1/12 scale 69 Camaro project. Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks....Marty

Fairmont drag car build - Hanging/hinging DS door 8/10/16
Z28 replied to futurattraction's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
I've watching this one. Glidden's 78 Fairmont never lost a round of racing, national, regional or match raced. Unbelievable car! Saw it a U.S. 30 back in the day. If your interested, there's a great article at competitionplus.com with the man himself. Marty -
Derrick, Wow, nice ride! Where are the wheels from? Marty

Need to find that post you're talking about Ray, I just covered some masking tape with some semi-gloss spray paint and it's not quite what I'm after, looks good but just not "THERE". Notice how the word "witch" was substituted for the word "which"? Happy halloween everyone, thanks guy's! Marty

What's a good paint that will resemble a vinyl roof from a late 60's GM product? Need to do a roof on a 69 Camaro. I am assuming it's some kind of "wrinkle" paint, but witch brand are you guys using? Marty

Seen him many times match race at Ron Leek's track in Byron, IL. back in the 70's. A TRUE icon in our sport, he will be missed, R.I.P. Bill. Marty

Charlie- I'll be watching this post closely and I don't mean to steal it from you but I also am in need of some custom decals for this W.J. Pro-stock build. Maybe someone will be more inticed by two decal jobs as apposed to one. Marty

OUCH! I feel for ya Mitch, been there, done that except with 4 speeds. I'll bet it'll be alot easier & cheaper to put the model together than the real thing. Although probably not as much fun, can't drive the model. Marty
