Where do you guys find these testors paint racks at for I don't have one yet??? O.o and btw wasn't there a thread already of WORKBENCH SATURDAYS that show pics of your benches on to? -
Well I know for sure the cali. hauler has lately been reissued for I have three of em and about to finish one soon the sleeper is what I'm concerned about for id like to get my hands on one to just look at and know what they look like and maybe build one for fun? O.o Also I'd like to see the 67-72 c10 truck kits get reissued as well from the first 67 to the last 72 and all years b/w mainly for grill and build options... wonder what happened to all that tooling for those to?

There used to be a company location up in Marietta Oh where I used to live (Now last I heard its an IH workshop/Dealership) that used to run pete square noses with 60'' bunks I think the name used to be WETZ (I think they used to haul bulk stuff?) or something?... they were a nice blue with some fancy gold striping up the side... Even had a couple matching junk kw's -
I checked it out and you are correct its a 72 via I forgot about that particular kit

I thought that stepside kit was a '68 model year and not a '72?

Peterbilt 379 Build
bandit1 replied to RocketJockey87's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
You don't have to lengthen the frame right there... You could have lengthened it under the cab/sleeper somewhere to where it wont be visible when you pop that hood?... and move the cab/sleeper back slightly without having to extend the front to clear that gw hood if you need anymore info get ahold of Tim A. the Pete Guru around here... -

That's cool I may have to snag a few up... I have one of the older versions myself and didn't know about the decal issue... but will fix that with new ones soon via the old ones are destroyed in a flood... -
Popular Mods For Rookies..
bandit1 replied to 10thumbs's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I don't have pics yet but can get some later unless someone else wants to post? ie the Pete Guru... But an easy mod for the beginner is taking the hood off any of the 359 kits and sanding the rivet detail and removing the forward fender mounting bracket and maybe one other thing to take it from a steel hood to a fiberglass unit... can also take a snapper kit and an extra frame to lengthen the frame while retaining only two cuts instead of the usual 4...(May do that later to show clarification for not sure if you folks understand what I was saying anyways on that note...) Not sure what else can be done other than swap engines but that gets tricky with a couple parts (Note my Cat swap into a SBA 377 kit build I'm doing) Can also swap out tires and wheels from the snapper to a set of Mobius ones... (Note if anyone has extra snap tires that's good pm me please) Not sure what else other than the usual merc bunk on the cali hauler for petes is mostly what I build minus the one WS and maybe a Kw or Diamond reo kit... -
