  1. When i see this kit, it reminds me of what this company tried to do... http://www.amcarguide.com/concept/6t9-goat-concept-modern-pontiac-gto-judge/ ...but I'm sure that wasn't their intention!
  2. Reminds me of the new Dodge Dart a little bit
  3. I love the color. What paint did you use?
  4. I gotta ask - how did you do the woodgrain around the center vent?
  5. Huh? The inner wheel wells are completely stock. All that was changed on the chassis was I shortened the front a bit. As for the other details, I'm not an expert at this or anything I was just having fun. Kinda the point...isn't it?
  6. FINISHED! Check it out here - http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=71472
  7. I based it on this concept... still have a little clean up work to do on the back here.. WIP can be found here http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=70930 Thanks for looking!
  8. Thanks for the encouragement guys. This one has been a lotta fun
  9. I was between Hemi orange and Plum crazy for the color. I went with the Hemi orange testors 2-part system
  10. FUN WITH BONDO not surprisingly, this was the hardest part so far. Had to do some blending with bondo and plastruct and then re-radius the wheel arches. Should just be some minor clean up left to go at this point.
  11. Next I ground down the bottom of the '69 grill and dremmeled through the back of the Uptown charger front facia... Now comes some fabrication with pieces parts and plastruct.... .....to be continued!!!
  12. This is the Charger that Dodge should have built! As soon as I saw this thing, I began thinking of ways to convince the wife that we "need" one. Since no legitimate arguments came to mind yet, I decided to devote some energy to creating a styrene version. First you need to see the inspiration.... http://www.chargerforumz.com/showthread.php?t=145352 Now here is my attempt in progress. I'm working with some scratchbuilt stuff, the Uptown Charger model, the grill from a '69 Charger model, and various pieces parts from several other kits that I had lying around. First, the taillights. I decided to cut up a a see-through red pill bottle that had my dog's prescription in it... The white masked off parts of the stock tailights will remain red while the rest will be blended into body color..
  13. What don't you like about the door? I think you did a really good job on it. I'm too chicken to try opening a door up on one of my kits.
  14. The Chevy with the number 83 on the side - is that a sunbird model that you converted? I really like that one
  15. Wow - I really like this. What is "Round 2"? A resin caster?
  16. I looked, and there before me was a white horse! Its rider held a bow, and he was given a crown, and he rode out as a conqueror bent on conquest. When he opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature call out, "Come!" And out came another horse, bright red; its rider was permitted to take peace from the earth, so that people would slaughter one another; and he was given a great sword. When the Lamb opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, "Come!" I looked, and there before me was a black horse, and its rider held a pair of scales in his hand. Then I heard something that sounded like a voice coming from the middle of the four living creatures. The voice said, "A quart of wheat for a day's pay, and three quarts of barley for a day's pay, and do not damage the olive oil and wine!" When the Lamb opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, "Come!" I looked, and there before me was a pale horse. Its rider was named death, and Hades was following close behind him. They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill people by war, by starvation, by disease, and by the wild animals of the earth
  17. I have since added more.... The angel army is finally becoming an army... This Throne Eins was actually the first Gundam I built. I didn't like the stock brown color so I painted it a metallic black.... The scroll in the background has the verses that inspired this scene...
  18. That's a great idea too! I was jotting down which stories I thought would make good diorama's, and I was also thinking a modern take on Noah's ark would be kinda cool, where the animals are being loaded into a C130 or something. I just don't know how i'd pull it off, so I abandoned the thought. Can't wait to see how yours turns out - regardless of what section it's posted in. BTW - it's great to get your kids involved. I let our oldest build one of those pre-painted easy metal kits and worked it into my used car diorama, and she beams with pride every time her friends come over just so she can show off how she helped out.
  19. Thank you for the kind words Charlie. Here are some that are a little clearer....
  20. No problem Tony. I should probably go back and update my progress on some of the car stuff I was working on too. As far as the Biblical diorama thing, I think I will keep them coming. There's practically an endless source of possibilities for Biblical stories that could be retold with mecha and stuff. It could be my "thing" so to speak. After all, theres a popular children's show using vegetables to do the same thing, and Gundams are much cooler than cucumbers!
  21. Sorry George, I missed your question the first time around. The good guys win! Per Revelation 19... Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to make war against the rider on the horse and his army. But the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who had performed the miraculous signs on his behalf. With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped his image. The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur. The rest of them were killed with the sword that came out of the mouth of the rider on the horse
