You made some very good points there, and I have to agree with all of them, NASCAR has become very watered down, and very much on the lines of must keep PR correct, its very vanllia. With the COT, there really is not alot of play room with it, teams are in a very small box as to what they can do to the cars, it used to be a much bigger box, but with the COT that changed .

Are comparing the old system to the new? , then sure there is going to be a difference, but the old system is not being used, so it was close finish .

You made a good point there, all top level racing, just like a lot of other things are made for TV now, and it has taken racing out of racing sometimes. NASCAR became a bigger marketing tool about 10 years ago, thats when the racing took a back seat. Now race tracks are built and given race's by the size of the tv market the race track is in, and not the type of track it is. Yes it comes down to money, and where NASCAR and the networks can get the most of it.

I think people take NASCAR trying to level the playing field as them fabricating the sport.

Cliff, what color are going to paint yours, now I am very curious and cant wait to see you build yours , have you picked out a set of wheels for yours?, just need some ideas as how its going to look with different wheels on it before I start looking I may just have to suck it up and buy one from overseas, even when it does make it here, the price will not have come any, so I think I may just order a few things to make it worth while with the shipping

Robby Gordon use's his NASCAR team to fund his other racing interest, and I am goning to keep my mouth shut on Juan Montoya, he did get a win on a road course, now its time for him to win on a oval. To try and get this back on topic, The one thing that I love about the "new NASCAR " is the car saftey, NASCAR has done a lot of good things in the name of saftey, but its sad that it took the death of Dale Sr. to make it happen.

You can not compare Indy car to NASCAR, period, you can not base how she is going to do in NASCAR of how she did in Indy car. For one thing, indy car has much smaller fields of cars racing, so right there thats on here side, now she is going to be racing in 43 car fields, a big differecne , and thats just for starters . Second, I agree that there are a few male drivers in the CUP series that shouldnt have a ride, The only former Indy car driver to have any sucess in NASCAR has been Tony Stweart, She has a lot of learning to do before she will be able to hang with the top drivers in the cup sereis lap after lap, race after race. She does have a fighting chance given who she is driving for, a good team, with a championship winning owner/driver to help her out. The ball is in her court, now its time for her to show us that she can as does belong in NASACR.

Harry, she has been racing in NASCAR, so thats why I am saying I dont think she is going to be good in the cup series I hope she does good in NASCAR, but I am going off her runs in the Nationwide Series the past few years and she has not done very well. And the cup series is a lot tougher then the Nationwide sereis and thats what I am basing my critique of off.

Guys, I never said she could not drive a race car, and I believe the race she one was a rain shorten fule milage race, all I am trying to say is she more marketing tool then driver, if Danica has the type of carrer in NASCAR that she did in Indy, she will be considered to be a back marker driver. I am not bashing on her, and going off her Indy car career, she really is not all that good of a driver. I never said I dont think she should be in NASCAR, I am just not drinking the Danica kool-aide, she needs to prove her self first in NASCAR. Do i want her to do good, yes, it will great for racing in general, but all I said is i think she is going to have butt handed to her, at least in her first season. There have been a lot of female drivers in NASCAR, but why is she getting all the love, why is being made to be the first ever women to race in NASCAR, one word, money, it buys everything NASCAR. Shawan Robionson was the last female to race in the cup sereis, then you have Jennifer Jo Cobb that runs in the Nationwide sereis, why is there no love for her?, why, because they dont have the millions of dollars from a big company paying for her to be in NASCAR, who do you think is paying for Danica to be in NASCAR?, Go Daddy is, if it was not for Go Daddy, I highly doubt she would be coming to NASCAR or be racing period.

And you are right, this is the first year that i could stand the chase, I think part of the reason the chase was made to give Jr. a chance to win a championship, thats why they made for 12 drivers a few years ago, because Jr didnt make the top 10. A playoff system does not really fit in racing

No, she really is just a marketing tool, she always has been, and I am not the only one that feels that way, yes, in a way Harry you are right that it is just a long commerical, but Danica is not a racer , she drives a race car, there is a BIG difference. I know you dont like or stand racing, but take my word on it, she is not a racer.

I am still in the middle for the chase, I will say after this year, it was really exciting having it go down to the last race to crown a champion, thats what the chase was to be all along , it only took eight years for it to happen

It could be the SS coming, I am not sure, I am can almost say for fact it wont be the Malibu. I agree that the top 35 rule needs to go, the fake cautions, I like having the race end under a green flag, but do we need three chances to make it happen, no, one is good. I did say i dont like it, but i am not bashing it, to me it just this big box on wheels, the only thing different was is the quater windows and the nose, now let explain a little more, I could not stand it when it first came out with the way the spilter was and with the wing, but I like the COT more now that it has the new lower nose piece and has the spoiler back. To me it was getting very close to spec racing. I VERY, VERY excited about how things are going to look for 2013, and i can not wait. I am pretty sure I will be at the march race , if so we will have to meet up at the track . I am not to sure it will be the Impala, like i said GM is saying its going to be a car that is not in production at the moment is what I am reading, either way GM is keeping it a very close secert .

Rob, you said you went to PIR last year, I was at the Feburay race, I was in between 1&2, in the middle, where did you sit?. It wont be the malibu, NASCAR said no to it, and what Chevy is saying the car they are going to use in not in production at the moment, thats the rumors that are going around. So time will tell.

NASCAR has become more for the driver then cars when the COT came in, and NASCAR is trying to go back to what it was before, it will never be like it was, but who knows it may get close. For the record, there are a lot of things I dont like, I cant stand the chase, I cant the COT, I cant stand the way king France has turn NASCAR into a joke, but I still love NASCAR but I dont feel the need to bash it every chance I get. Here is what the 2013 Ford Fusison will look, It looks a lot better IMHO I will always find NASACR more exciting the stick and ball sports, atleast NASCAR drivers a little more fan friendly .
