The strike? To sum it up... Yes. Very much so... -

It turned to dust, like in an Indiana Jones movie or something I saw a red Viper SRT10 a few days ago too... forgot that. -

Nah the private companies are fine like Fedex, UPS, DHL, etc... So you shouldn't have any issues. -

My dad was a UH-60A Blackhawk crew chief and was in Panama and stood face to face with Manuel Noriega, he was in the first Gulf War and had the commanding general command the entire ground war (remember the "left hook?") from the back of his bird. He nearly fell out of one, was a Green Beret, with the 106th Special Ops "Night Stalkers" (He has no doubt this was the unit that took out Bin Laden, that's the type of stuff they did) and has seen things only people of war have witnessed. I thank all of those who have served, and maybe one day I myself will as an officer in the Air Force. God Bless America. -

Yeah I mean I feel bad for the people affected by this. I mean they still have Fedex, UPS, and DHL but their prices are way too high for the small stuff like hockey cars and some model parts. I'm honestly surprised that our system hasn't done this, but I also don't know much about our system besides that it's decent, billions of dollars in debt, and you can use Paypal to print labels but that's just me. I've always heard that Canada had a pretty good system outside of Quebec (bad things have happened there... oh the pictures I can show of what they have done in customs to cars worth hundreds and thousands) but again that's just from what I've heard. I hope this doesn't have a ripple effect though... -
That's awesome! Do you use just super glue to hold those in the distributor I assume then? And I found another pic for me to go off of Pretty decent view, got the roll cage, mesh drivers side window, nice spoiler view, and shows the exhaust which I'll see about mimicking. The exhaust is gonna be kinda hard to do if I want to do it because the kit body doesn't overhang the chassis so there really isn't any room for that I don't think.

Nice job! Spark plug wires are a good idea... I should look into getting some along with a seat belt harness and some mesh.

Site for parted out kits?

Ooo that link helps me, thanks! -
Alright guys! I had the idea recently that it would be cool to have a meet and greet. This topic is dedicated for brainstorming ideas of locations, dates, things to do/bring, caterers (I don't know... might as well haha) contests with different classes and prizes (maybe we could make this an annual thing!) have like a little "show room" set up, little yard sale style event in the other side of the room and to trade parts, etc... Anyway, we would want to try and keep the location neutral. I'm near Caledonia, so I'm thinking like Lansing for those near Detroit would be fair if they're willing to join in. Or, we could have just 2 separate ones where we have a west Michigan one and eastern Michigan one. I'd like this to be a group effort too, so any help on organizing and what not would be much appreciated!

Aftermarket body parts question!
thesnake87 replied to thesnake87's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Yeah I just found an eBay seller that has a good price on the 06' Mustang front fender "spoiler." I may get one because since the Shelby has the same front bumper, I'm sure it would fit. Even if it didn't, I'm sure there would be minimal work to be done. EDIT: WOOO finally found what I'm looking for! http://cgi.ebay.com/1-24-GT-Wings-C-1350mm-resin-parts-tamiya-hasegawa-/250820146796?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3a660bb66c#ht_729wt_754 Gonna talk with my mom and see if she'll be willing to help me purchase some of this stuff. Then I'll be able to get my kit done before you know it. If any of you guys still happen to have better links or comments, it would be much appreciated. It will help for future builds also -
Alright phew lol Nice graphics, you're more planned in that aspect than I am. I just need some rally numbers then I'm just gonna put on whatever I think fits... in a sense lol
-
I hope I'm not doing my roll cage "wrong" by building it in place... I see you guys are building them separate. I hope I'm not screwing myself lol

updated* still would love more entires

Woah! No... it's not lol. Oh that reminds me I saw a Ferrari 599 GTB a couple weeks ago. Ferrari red of course... but in Michigan? I saw a black Gallardo last year too... only time I've seen someone driving one. -

I live near Caledonia but I'm at my dad's in Paw Paw And those 442's... eww... lol no kidding about the Honda thing. But even then they should probably be limited to golf carts and mopeds. But I have a feeling they'll still find a way to ghetto it out... -
So me and my dad were doing some errands and while driving (it was a cool day out, but still a good one for driving) we saw a couple custom 32 coupes, a 64 Impala, and a 50's Corvette in a matter of minutes. They were all very, very nice cars and sounded great. Anyone else had one of these moments lately?

thesnake87 replied to slantasaurus's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
You know... that's a very good question! lol I would be kinda odd though... making tons of different variations of your own car... and having them all lined up on the same shelf. -
Yeah that's awesome man!

Yep... it's like you can actually see the resemblance of the Challenger, Mustang, and Camaro (I know it's debatable for this one, but I think it's a great tribute to the classic) with their respective classics. The Charger... like you said a rebadged 300C pretty much. Disappointing...
