  1. thought I'd add one I built a while ago, before starting on my new build.
  2. at first I was like "oh no" then I wa like "oh what?" Now I'm all "Oh Ya!!!!" keep it going.
  3. I recently got into airplanes, and the first one I got was a used hobbyzone super cub. nice easy trainer and fairly durable. but I got tired of the bland white, so out came the air brush. I'm still a little new at air brushing, but I'm happy with the progress. I still need decals and a few more details. Heres what I have so far. today I was flying and mistakenly flew out of my transmitter and lost control. right before I know I'd lost it, I killed the throttle. I jumped in my truck and went on the hunt. I found it 3 blocks over, it had bounced off a roof and landed in a front yard. It was suprizingly undamaged. A chipped wing, and scratches on the nose. Just another day in r/c flying.
  4. nice, I gave the coupe a try too, but I think you had a better idea for the roof. keep up the good work.
  5. never thought about using wood to make molds. thanks for the tip, I'm a buick nut, so you know I'm watching!
  6. maybe. I've ridden in a few cobras, I've never trusted those bars.
  7. update, got some putty primer and color on it. Its mostly a guide coat, I have not decided on a final color yet. I did fill in the slots for the wing, and smoothed out the grafting spot. I also decided that the race car bucket will stay but some touches of the factory car will be grafted in. that's it for now.
  8. for now I went a different rout. or well another rout, I've been down before. this was my last one. looked and sounded great, but it was in piss poor shape. it led a hard life before I got it. its still around but only as a parts car. Maybe one day I'll do one up nascar style but for now dark, black, and nasty is fun.
  9. thanks, and as for the doner car, I was thinking maybe something along these lines. but thats a build for another day.
  10. i like the way you think.
  11. I will consider that. I want to make sure I get the racecar look out of it.
  12. thanks, The 98 is going back in the box for now but the C6-R vert is gong to see some more bench time. waiting on some putty to dry right now, then a little sand and primer. right now I'm trying to decide if its going to get two seats or one. Not sure how much street car will end up in it.
  13. I'm not normally a chevy guy, and never have been a fan of vette's. But I had to buy one recently to kit-bash for another project. This left me with an engine less 98 pace car. I thought great, what do I don with this? And then I remembered I had a C6-R in the closet. I had a brain storm and badda-bing! and then....
  14. that's awesome, my little girl is about to turn 6, and get her first snap kit.
  15. Its a dark primer, I just didn't spray as much color as the rest.
  16. great build, well executed as well. You have skill. I just don't get the hella flush fad. But I guess that just means I'm getting old.
  17. and a little artistic flair!
  18. So I got a nice air brush setup for Christmas, and I needed something to paint. So out came a (looks over both shoulders leans in and whispers) a 57 chevy snaptite kit. I thought, well at least I won't get upset if I ruin it. So on went the primer, then out came the air brush. Now let me add that this is the first time I have EVER air brushed. And after laying down the paint, I knew that I had to finish it. It took less than a day too. So with out further delay.... the first snap kit I've done since I was 11. lol
  19. I laugh because I've actually said that this car has "my favorite rust hole" on it. lol. It's now on display at Old Town Hobby Shop in Lewisville TX. and I must say I'm hooked, I've always liked looking at my cars when there done. But now its like if I get at just the right angle, I'm really there with it. I am almost done with the two I'm doing as Christmas presents. I enjoyed working with the camaro but the mustang was one of the worst kits I've ever touched. I still need to put a few finishing touches on both but figured I'd share what I have done so far. and
