  1. I think that maybe large scale and 1/24-25 should have there own best of show awards bc you can only ad so much detail to them compared to larger scales.
  2. I see. It should be open to all scales. Just like any other contest. Thats my opinion.
  3. Like I say, its just a what if. I just thought it would be cool. I wish I had the funds and backers and I would give it try. Anyways thanks for looking.
  4. That is true. But it would be cool. I would really enjoy it.
  5. Has anyone ever thought about doing like a series of show based on a points system and then have the top so many in the points chase attend a grand finale for an overall point champion. Kinda like the ISCA does with their show circuit. I think it would be cool. Maybe even have it in conjunction with the ISCA shows. Then you would have the best of both world all in one place. I think it would be fun and exciting.
  6. Whoa there Jim. LOL. I have a few things to work out b4 I get to deep into the build. Thanks for the enthusiasm though.
  7. Oh sorry about that Dave. I was confused. LOL. Can't wait to see more of your build. Maybe one day I will be able to build to your level.
  8. I know its not a jag. Like I say its completely custom built. It started out as a 9in. I have pics of the car from many angles but I just was sure where to start. I was just asking for suggestions. Thanks for looking.
  9. Thats kinda what I was thinking. On the M.W. rear. I don't think I have ever seen a resin one. I think I may research that. Thanks Jim.
  10. Jantrix, Thanks but I already have one of those kits and I am using it for ideas but the IRS assembly in the kit just isn't detailed like I want. Thanks though. I have a good idea on what I am going to do. I will post some pics of what I come up with soon. Wish me luck.
  11. This is actually a fully custom built 9in. rear. It is similar to the Jag but it really is a 9in.
  12. I know it won't be exact but I am trying to get it as close as possible.
  13. Its in a 1959 Corvette. I have the 9in. rear to start with and I am planning on using both plastic and also turning some of the parts on my lathe. Here's a pic of what I am trying to build. A friend of mine built and owned the real car so pics aren't a problem. Thanks.
  14. I am working on a project and have a quick question. I am going to fabricate a custom IRS for the rear of it. Its gonna be pretty much a 9in. ford center section but everything else will have to be fabricated. Heres a pic of what I am attempting to do. Does anyone have any suggestions. Thanks for looking.
  15. I just want to apologize if I step on anyones toes last night on the comments. But come on, you all have to look at it like this. Rom put 11 months of hard work into this build and then some of you just straight out dogged his work. I get constructive criticism but man some of these comments were uncalled for. I don't know nor ever met Rom and probably never will but I will say that this is one of the most fantastic builds I have ever followed. I learned a lot from him. Now if this were a contest where the cars were being judged then pointing out the flaws is one thing but this is a forum for builders to show off there work that they are proud of. So why not just congratulate him on finishing such a great build. I was going to post some of my builds on here as I go along but if this is how people get treated then I will keep mine to myself. AGAIN ROMELL, CONGRATS ON FINISHING THIS AWESOME BUILD AND HOPE THAT SOMEDAY I CAN BUILD TO YOUR LEVEL. THANKS FOR SHARING AND CAN WAIT FOR THE NEXT ONE.
  16. My point exactly. Then post it here so everyone can see your PERFECT work. And this is why I don't care to post my builds. People like this.
  17. I hope to be able to build to this level one day. I can't wait to see you start the next.
  18. I loved watching the build. I think its a great looking car. I think the critics should shut up. It wasn't built for them or their liking. It was your build. As long as your happy, THATS ALL THAT MATTERS.
  19. Robert did you get my email. If not email me at kustoms4lyfe2@aol.com
  20. I am wanting to try scratchbuilding all the chassis and floor. The Flashpoint body is flawless. I love it. Can't wait to get started. Really excited. Thanks all.
  21. I plan on posting as I go. That way if I get something wrong hopefully someone will point it out to me.
