  1. So on my latest project I painted it like I always do but this time the color coat is not sticking after two weeks it flakes off. The primer is on it like a rock so idk why I'm having issues. Btw it is m.m. One coat laquer
  2. you are right I assumed it was factory unit it was in my uncles 63 corvair. I loved that car and the fact he let me take it to my prom
  3. since your looking at mustangs I personally would look also for mavericks and mercury comets of the same era grabber mavricks are still lower in cost and can offer great performance.
  4. No matter what being a fan of the first two I will enjoy or suffer through this one like I did mad max beyond thunderdome hopefully I enjoy it
  5. Charlie I have been watching the mpls city pages waiting to see when Orchestra hall has a kids day I remember when I went to it back in the 80's they played tunes such as the bonanza theme, green hornet, batnam and many other cool tunes and I've been hooked on the stuff ever since
  6. Not to thread steal but the last amt 70.5 camaro "the good one" I got (btw one of my favorite models to build) the passenger side rocker panel was all messed up in was sunk in and warped. it took a lot of work to get it right. Anybody else notice that or was it just mine?
  7. Scott I also would like to see your paper if you still have it. Yes from what i understand from READING up on the corvair. the writing was already on the wall for the corvair before Nader's book because of the mustang and chevy's own cars such as the nova and camaro. Corvair shared virtually nothing with any other car gm offered which in my personal opinion is what really killed the corvair. I have driven and rode in a couple different covairs and never felt unsafe. The worst part was trying to keep the factory record player from skipping which meant avoiding every bump pothole and crack in the road.
  8. Ah I see sorry I misunderstood I got it now. I don't Understand why there was a big push of 1/20th kits from lindberg either. It was like they were trying to change the formula for coke and we all know how that turned out
  9. spot on I totally agree. I always liked 1/20 scale. most the time not always it seems 1/20 scale models seem to have more detail and just seem crisper to me if that makes sense. The fact the amx is 1/20 doesn't bother me at all
  10. And actually I always liked the music my folks listened to but they. Didn't always like what I listened to
  11. Ya harry I heard that
  12. Which btw lead into an hour and a half lesson on appreciation
  13. So listening to this while modeling my step son comes in and asks why I am listening to old peoples music. I was honestly crushed and disappointed
  14. To have been on both sides of this I know the loss you felt with molly and I know the joy having a new pet I wish you the best with Ernie and sorry for your loss with molly

  18. I see amt is releasing this kit and I have never seen this kit before so I was wondering if anyone has one in their collection so I could see what this kit contains
  19. I never knew this car went through so many incarnations
  20. nothing really to do with this thread but darn I wish I had that kind of memory
  21. The one that I dont understand is the high and mighty any mopar fan knows this car
  22. Dragfreak imho you hit the nail right on the head the person that builds the car is doing it for themselves and he/she is all that matters it all comes down to ones personal preference
