Thank you for that info. I wish I could go back to 1963 and get that three fishing rod and 411 pcs tackle box kit for $12.95 that looked like a great deal
The kit as I remember is quite well done but please keep in mind I was a lot younger when I built it 50%+ the age I am now. I rememberit being a well fitting and accurate kit for the time
I don't mind when people point out kit flaws I understand there are modelers out there that are More detailed orientated then I am if I can build a kit where 90% of the folks who look at it won't see such flaws. But that is just me. The thing I don't like but on a forum you can't avoid is several pages of complaining about the same flaw then the several pages defending kit maker. But it is unavoidable like taxes. I just skip over those posts most the time but sometimes it can be quite entertaining lol
I was looking up some info and I found this link and on the link was an add from 1963 of a monogram model kit http://books.google.com/books?id=YPRDVugn2SwC&pg=PA54&lpg=PA54&dq=how+to+make+fender+skirts+for+scale+models&source=bl&ots=rpgOMcT_KJ&sig=cvE7v7QxTcImy4dH7AzzIHOptq4&hl=en&sa=X&ei=P72EU8PhJ86uyATnkYDoDQ&ved=0CBYQ6AEwBDgK
like the 41 chebby I'd love the 41 Pontiac with its straight 8. The 48 Pontiac torpedo and 48 chevy fleetline do not share the same body if I remember correctly the Pontiac and buick have a longer wider body (not sure about the olds) so none of the interior changes over. I only know this from personal experience
I didn't grow up when these cars moebius is molding were common place on the streets and most guys my age want a honda but I am so glad moebius is bringing out kits of great cars I love the detail and I think they are miles above revell and round2 my only complaint is like tom petty said "the waiting is the hardest part" lol
Elmers white glue the stuff we used as kids. I say great job on this. As far as next build suggestions build what interests you if that is rally cars, exotics, muscle cars or classics there are a lot to choose from in all categories
Ya I e-mailed them about two months ago and got the same response. At least round2 answers their e-mail even if it is to say we have no such plans or something. I e-mailed revell a question about an old kit just to show that there is interest in it if they still had tooling. I still haven't heard a peep from them
