  1. All u all took the good quips already
  2. The artist of the photos has talent. Highway I like your photo more simply because it is real
  3. In my opinion craftsman went downhill when K-MART bought sears holding. I grab from the tool trucks that come around from time to time if I am. In a pinch but I try to stay with S-K. I did get a huge surprise around tax time because being new to the actual service industry I thought I could write off the tools I bought but no I forgot about depreciation. But that is off subject.
  4. Thank you all for the positive feedback and seth I sat on the board of director for almost three years as we tried to figure out how to make it possible all it takes is one person with the idea and devotion to make it work. the sadest thing is we are so overwhelmed with people needing help we are booked out til mid june. It is truely rewarding to do. Also one hard thing to overcome was insurance all mechanics and volunteers need to be certified mechanics. Charlie I am glad to know we are not the only place doing it.
  5. Austin you never had to ride in one for years that interior becomes very ugly after awhile I loved the car hated the interior to bad MN winters took its toll on the poor javey and when it was sold we only had 3/4 of the car left lol
  6. The non profit garage (the lift) I work for which helps low income MN get their autos repaired reached 500 cars/people today cool thing was I got to do the valve covers gaskets, belts, plug & wires along with timing belts on #500 I could not have found a more rewarding job to do with my certification after school. I love my job
  7. That is sort of a bummer because even though jo han has usually accurate bodies the interior tubs are not which is what I am most looking for. If you have never seen a cardin javelin the interiors are a trip. It mystifys me to this day why my folks bought one
  8. Did anybody ever kit one of these? I want to build a copy of the family car. My folks had a I think 72 or 73 Javelin cardin edition which had an interior that was just as wild if not wilder then anything Chrysler was putting out. Just thought it would be fun to recreate it.
  9. Very sweet digger I think it looks amazing
  10. What motor do you have sitting in there?
  11. Yup april 16th and Minneapolis got about two inches of sneet (snow/sleet) neat-o. Funny thing was the weekend before we had 70°F weather. Old man winter is fighting tooth and nail with mother nature I'm rooting for mother nature myself
  12. Yup it is everywhere the town I grew up in there was a place called Tom's pet and hobby it was a staple of the community been there since the 60's. The owner (i think his name was Tom lol) was a model guy so we always had a great supply to choose from. Last time I was back in the old town of brainerd I thought I'd stop by but guess what it is gone. Then I started talking to relatives and no place in town sells model kits. Sad really think of all those kids never knowing what a model is.
  13. Yup that would be the one but that is the first time I ever saw the story behind the picture thank you
  14. I am not a ford truck guy but the quality looks amazing so I may pick (scratch that will pick one up). I am just surprised no one has kitted a ford raptor just mho.

    Dodge 440

Color combination is excellent and one more question can I take her for a spin around the block he he
  19. Very cool build I love it! The tires remind me of a toy I had as a kid. It was a batteried powered truck with tires that looked like that but if you squeezed the tires they would puff out and become paddle tire for running in puddles of water. I loved that truck wish I still had it or remember the name of it. Another great build you have a great imagination
  20. Everything everyone else said +1 got to love the non big three brands.
  21. It's. B b b baaad b b b baad it's baaad to the bone. You make diecast work look easy and I know that is not the case. I can't say enougb on how cool it looks super job
  22. Stunning I give it an A+++
  23. Very good job. I always liked this body and realgone58 is right they look much much better without those chunky u.s. bumpers.
  24. Thank you greg great link I just wish the article was a little more in depth but overall thank you for sharing it
  25. I saw a picture of a buick that was built up similar but lots of folks think the buick is photoshopped
