  1. pretty sure the 1:1 two lane blacktop and american graffitti 55"s were one and the same
  2. thanks for the encouragement i havent picked up a kit in around 15 years and was looking to try my hand at it again this winter between restocking all my bottle paints which im sure have dried out by now and new foils glues and whatnot the price of a resin kit is going to be a concern not to mention the fact im a little hesitant to jump back in by switching to a medium ive never worked with perhaps after i get a few new kits built ill take the jump into resin thanks scott
  3. thank you for the replies but i think resins going to be a bit out of my league
  4. specifically the 1800 s and the 544 series
  5. early bronco 68 69 impala 55-57 buick olds pontiac 65 comet 73-77 grand prix grand am or malibu
  6. it seems high untill you think about it a while, then its not so bad . If you had no tools paint or parts to start with and wanted to build something like this you would probably spend near $200 (am i far off on this ive been out of the loop for a while?) and it might not wind up looking anywhere near as nice as this one
  7. ok ive been out of the loop for 15 years or so so forgive me if something was done and i dont know about it 55-57 ideally buick , id be happy with a pontiac or an olds 60s 65 comet cyclone or caliente 65 mercury fullsize , not fussy if its a turnpike cruiser parklane or marauder bronco! 69 impala with all the impalas done in the past 20 years why are we still waiting for the last of the ss models 70s laguna s3 76 -77 elcamino (imho the nicest) of the 64-87 models the 73s and 4s look cool to squarebody impala or caprice 80s i like the 442 or hurst olds 90s and newer nothing really tickles my fancy
  8. My 2 cents worth people starting out modeling want to model what they had , their friends had , or the one they couldnt afford this being said many adult modelers who are now in their late 30s or early 40s probably started out driving in one of these oversized slow and boring cars and their should be a decent demand for some of them at least. (hows the revell 77 monte carlo selling) while i agree the monaco caddy and town car would most likley not be worth the investment of tooling , the 73 grand am , lemans gto might , and i tend to think between police cars donks and lowriders a 77-90 impala caprice would sell rather well and have the added bonus of appealing to some younger folks
  9. hi found your site a few nights ago and am liking it a lot Ive been out of the loop since 1995 or so has anything gone on with johan since then? thanks scott
