  1. the hieroglyphs on the running boards is a nice touch.
  2. im digging the headlight mods, but not really feeling the fastback. Fantastic work nonetheless!!
  3. Not sure how i feel about tall the add on doodads and Jigger-ma-doos, but the paint work is killer. Love the fog work around the panel edges.
  4. As far as i know, with no tank to fill, it is supposed to run constantly
  5. try as i might i just cant get the hang of acryllics. ill fix up the mess ups and try it again with some different paint, maybe pick up a can of tamiya white for it.
  6. the seats are just Tensor brand tape for taping up joints. (human, that is) and colored with a perm. marker. That's it!
  7. yeah, im pleased with it too, i won a 75$ gift cert in a model show (2nd in customs class with my 48 ford) and picked this and 2 of the revell mercs up, i originally only got it to rob the rear fenders for another build but im really quite pleasantly surprised. im especially pleased with the level of detail (for an old amt kit) on the stovebolt engine, its not as nice as the six-pot in the galaxie kits, but its darn good none the less. This is good to know for me cause i have a real soft spot for these engines... In cars or on stands my family owns about 15 of the suckers!
  8. likely get some primer, and maybe even the white base on today
  9. yeah, the more i look at it, the more i like the "cali style" rake to the rear. also body work to the cab is nearly done, shaved handles, and filled in all the cab vents save for the one on the cowl.
  10. More or less the ride height im looking for, i may re do the rear to bring it up a TAD, but if i do it wont be much just enough to bring it level..
  11. im thinking the sombreros and white walls, Got the suspension sorted out though, and the engine almost built. still dunno what im gonna do for colors though, thinking pearl white. and something else.... Green maybe? red? orange?
  12. pretty sure i have the front suspension cased. now im flip flopping between the stock tires from the 70 Camaro kit, or the stock tires, OR a set of white walls from the revell merc
  13. you have any pics of the frame from upside down? Roughly how big were the blocks you used for the front?
  14. Anybody got any hints on lowering these things?
  15. its going well! thanks for asking
  16. Update, its finished, and it took 2nd in its class today at a show, when my buddy emails me the pics he took, ill put them in under glass
  17. excellent. ill be able to build the jack calori truck
  18. Goin out on a limb here - i think someone cooked these up in photoshop . not by chevy. do you really think the advertising dept, would get away with referring to women as "cupholders"???
  19. looks good, great job on the wood, that looks very realistic for being painted.
  20. Craig, you beat me to it.
  21. looks fantastic. on a slightly unrelated note, cana nyone tell me if the bedsides for revells 56 Ford truck are separate from the fenders? and if the fenders for amt's 50 chevy are separate from the bedsides?
  22. you want shine? This stuff gives so much gloss it feels like cheating.
