  1. You practically stole my planned color scheme!

I was actually planning on Colonial White/either Woodsmoke or Gunmetal Gray, with the red and white interior.

Nice job on this, Al. I love your work.

Also, interesting about the bumper guards/license plate lamps. You don't happen to recall how (or if) the license plate was illuminated?

Thank you Dominik, Charlie and Danno. Charlie, The lisence plate lights were mounted on both sides of the plate in little chrome bump like housings.

    Hope this help.

  2. Thank you Horsepower, Kevin and Brother Tim. I can't believe there is so many negative posts about a extremely nice kit, that a lot of people haven't even received yet. Brother Tim, It will make it's debut next Saturday along with my 2 Moibeus Ford pickups.

  3. But it has flaws Al, how can it be a real nice kit? Lol.

Lee, I always like the challenge of the flawed kit. BTW, what were they again?

Thank you Brian and Peter. The AMT W/W tires fit like a glove.

  4. I'm still waiting on mine to arrive. But yours look great already. Didnt they come out just a week ago? :P

Thank you Bob, Lee and Joel. Ya, I got it on Monday. I had to finished this one fast so I could start on my Tamiya Mercedes 300SL.

  5. Thank you Ray, Wayne Phil and Carl & Carl. I could believe all the fight over this kit. It's a great kit and my dad never had rear bumper guards on any of his wagons in the 50"s.

  6. It's been a busy week, finishing off both Moebius new Ford Pickup's and this one. My dad had a 4 door Ranch Wagon, so I did it in colors like his & my dad didn't have bumper guard on the back bumper, just like the kit. I painted it Testors Wimbledon White with Tamiya's Military Grey Green. The interior was painted Grey Green and I used the kits supplied decals for the seat inserts. The windows were tinted with Tamiya Clear Blue. I added white walls from AMT's parts pack. I really enjoyed this oneand hope there are more longroofs coming down the pike.

Let me know what you think, Thank you for looking.

  7. Looks great! Does this kit not come with a rear bumper or did you decide to build it this way? My four kits were shipped this morning. Should have them next week.

Ben, The one above has a step bumper only in the kit and the 71 only has a chrome bumper. I chose a no rear bumper, because, that's what my uncle had on his 68. I need to add a rear licence plate on the drivers side.

Thanks everyone for all the nice comments on P. Jane.

  8. I built mine as a gentlemen's pickup with white walls. This is a great kit, everything goes together nicely. I painted it Tamiya's Italian Red with Testors Wimbledon White with Testor Wet Look Clear top coat. The interior was was done in Tamiya's Semi Gloss Black with a Red dash with Semi Gloss Black glare shield. The White Walls came from a AMT Parts Pack. The glass was tinted using 3 very light coats of Tamiya Clear Blue. This was a fun kit to build and really looking forward to my Model King version. I did loose a vent window in my final assembly, so I'll contact Moebius tomorrow for a replacement.

    Thank you for looking.
