  1. The other skirt has been removed and the wheel arches have been rounded slightly at the rear and the exhaust exits have been cut ( yes I am aware of all the slash marks on the body ) I am still not sure sure on the exhaust tip , I am thinking of a rectangular metal tip or twin exhaust tips
  2. Here is the rear wheel arch. ( the black shaded area is for a side exit exhaust opening
  3. I already removed one fender skirt , It wasnt the cleanest job and the wheel well is now kinda squared off , but it sure looks good!
  4. Darn it! I better put this engine into the bracketless alternator protection program Here are the painted body pieces that were sprayed in Tamiya TS-52 Candy lime green from the can
  5. Very cool subject! Nice detailing on the interior!
  6. Thanks ray! I got TS-52 Candy lime green sprayed on the body today , pics will be up in a few hours
  7. The engine is finished.
  8. Oh wow. I thought it would set in a few hours . Thanks for the help
  9. Hello , I am just wondering what the mixing ratio of putty to hardener is. I tried using some 3 hours ago and it still hasnt hardened. Thanks
  10. The windshield housing has been attached and the front bumper is being modified
  11. I knew it wouldnt be my last , I am already thinking about buying another one
  12. This is my first hot rod build....... yeah I started out by spraying the block Tamiya TS-21 Gold straight from the can. The carbs were painted a mix of XF-56 and XF-16. I wanted this engine to be wired so I used a Pro Tech vertex magneto I had laying around. I wasnt sure about the firing order of the engine , so I used the firing order from a Chrysler 426 Hemi. The wiring dosent look very good , but Its good enough for me at this point.
  13. This will be the stance I am going to go with , with a slight raise in the rear ( I currently dont have a rear suspension that will allow the rear tires to fit in the wheel wells ). I plan on having a street rod exterior with pro touring style engine / suspension. I also really really want criticism since this is my first pro touring / modern street rod style build. front / rear bumpers , grille , steering wheel , fan , and windshield housing are off to the dechroming bucket
  14. Wow , Thanks alot guys! I really appreciate this since this will be my first time doing any chassis / body work. What tool(s) will I need for cutting the chassis?
  15. I am not a fan of the molded in exhausts on the kits frame so I am considering modifying the chassis heavily , or scratchbuilding a whole new chassis which will be a huge project for me. I am also wondering if there are any chassis that would fit under this kit , thanks
  16. This will now be a Moder street rod build based off this car http://www.rkmotorsc...d/133105/179318 So back to the drawing board.... I am beginning to sand off the trim
  17. Well , I got back yesterday . It was pretty neat though , I actually saw quite a few nice cars ( 63-67 vette convertible , Lexus LFA , and a Pontiac Executive )
  18. The issue I was having was fitting the wired engine into the bay , the firewall was the main cause of the problem.
  19. Well , I am pretty sure the R/T stripe on the side was put on either before or after the guy bought it , there are also a few other missing pieces. If XS23 was on the fender tag it would be an R/T
  20. Well , the engine wouldnt fit in the engine bay , the chrome is fading like crazy so I am deciding to ditch box stock and go for a mild custom / pro touring look. Im thinking about either a 5.0 EFI , or 426 hemi setup with maybe a corvette? suspension with either wide whites with mags or low profile tires , I am a budget so I am just trying to use parts from the parts box ( which is basically nothing )
  21. This was filling up at a gas station in the Norweigan countryside. I was kinda skeptical when the owner said it was painted in its original colour , so I snapped a picture of the VIN sorry about the photo size , these were taken with an Iphone 4s and here is the fender tag
  22. Finnally home , now I can get the Countach finished
  23. Congratulations Andy! Now finish that McLaren!!
