  3. Thanks! I need to get a good amount of work done on this before I head off to Europe next week so heres an Exhaust mockup shot. I will be buying aluminum tube to finish off the pipes later this week
  4. I started with a 4x6 sheet of plywood about 7 years ago ............ then this wierd shape was formed 2 years ago

  8. Exceptional work! did you add any foil to the window trim? and is this another 1/43rd kit?
  9. This is the first layout I actually plan to finish . The right side measures 91" x 16" , the back side measures 91" x 24" , the left side measures 59" x 16" , and finally there will be a lift out piece connecting the left and right sides that will be around 59" x 10 ". This layout will be entirley fictional and set in either southern or central washington in the late 60's to late 70's to give me a wide selection of locomotives and rolling stock to work with. I am currently working on a track plan that will hopefully be finished by late July / early August

  11. Here is a quick mockup shot , the rear wheel is crooked so I'll have to fix that
  12. The front suspension / engine bay have been painted , its not the cleanest paintjob , but good enough for me. I need some help , I am debating stripping the chrome and painting it silver , do you think it would look nice?
  13. I'll usually use a Tamiya paint stand , but for some kits I'll use a plastic bottle
  14. Since the front wheels would not fit on the kits spindles , I cut off the mounting points from the 67 chevelle kit and glued them on to the kits spindles. The new wheel mounting points will also lower the front ride height , which I wanted
  15. The body and chassis were painted One Coat Fiery orange. Also , Is it safe to spray TS-13 over this paint?
  16. The exhaust and trans linkage were brush painted steel metallizer , mufflers were painted aluminum.
  17. Thanks for the comments guys! The body , exhaust , trans , and engine block are in primer I will also be using the brakes from the 67 chevelle kit
  18. Great detail work on those scripts! , what colour did you use for the body?
  19. Nice start! , I was thinking about making mine a little more old school with torq thrusts and wide rear tires but I couldnt find big enough tires to fit the wheels
  20. I modified the kits exhaust and added evergreen 3/32" tube that was heated and shaped , metal tips will finish off the pipes
  21. Started on the engine block and the 4 speed Wheels and tires ( I think ) are from the Revell 67 Chevelle SS396 kit
  22. I dont have anything to say , so lets get started The "Ford" and 'Fairlane scripts have been sanded off

  24. The Countach has been sprayed with 3 mist coats and 1 wet coat of Tamiya Park green , more wet coats will be sprayed tommorow
  25. Here is our little smoker , we've had it for almost 3 years. Sadly It rains so much in Vancouver that I only get to bbq for a couple months during the year
