STYRENE WITHDRAWAL SYNDROME (S.W.S)
Johnag4004 replied to Dr. Cranky's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Your not the only one Mike, I've never been to a model show, we don't have 1:1 shows like you Colonial have so I've missed out on that too... -
STYRENE WITHDRAWAL SYNDROME (S.W.S)
Johnag4004 replied to Dr. Cranky's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I have been bouncing off the walls today, as Dr Cranky, I just miss seeing other peoples work, even though I am just getting back into the hobby and I haven't been here very long I missed it, it's now 03:00hrs here, I have waited just to get my daily fix... -
So is that what they call a female look's like...

When I built models as a kid my father would make sure they where done properly, back then I was only allowed to build aircraft and soldiers and they had to be built exactly as they looked on the cover of the box they came in and every part had to be done, both inside and outside of the fuselage, front and rear of the seat etc... When I built the '62 Bel Air and trailer I painted everywhere again, with the exception of the inside of the engine block, when I was renovating my Die-Cast models again, I painted everywhere whether it was going to be seen or not...

This is how the UK started to go down hill, now look at us, take a stand and stop this before it goes any further... -

I used a plaster for the roof lining and gave it a coat of white paint... I have used the front seats and dash from a Corvette...

And this is what I have finished with... Break lines are made from twisted copper wire...

Hi all, I have just finished my first build for many, many years and thought I'd share it with you all... I started with 2 Bel Air kits, both missing parts, so thought I could make one model from the two of them...

Seeing as you mark yourself as the "MCF Writing Police", maybe you should re-check your own post... Sez = ???? Also, you might want to check your Caps key as your post doesn't seem to contain any capital letters at the start of your sentences... Have a nice day... They maybe cheap over the pond, but, everything is a lot more expensive over here, plus, a fridge will fit into a hatchback so no need for a "truck"... Andy...

Interior Flock, UK...
Johnag4004 replied to Johnag4004's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
It does look so much better than just having a painted interior, I gave some sticky felt a go on a rear parcel shelf, looks ok, but, when I attached the whole thing together (body, chassis & interior) the felt pushed the rear screen out at the top which caused problems with the side windows, it was too late to do anything about it by the time I noticed it the glue had set (I'll post some pictures when I get my camera sorted)... -
Hi Bryan, Looking great, I love how you cut the windows out, may I ask how you did it please... Here you go Bryan...: - http://s1112.photobucket.com/albums/k491/MarkOrr1964/ I think Josh was referring to Bryan's model... Andy...

any formula 1 fans here?
Johnag4004 replied to edward smith's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Many years ago I used to like watching F1, but now I can't stand it, as said the ones with the most money wins, it would be tons better if the ones with the fastest qualifying times started at the back, that way it would make it fair to the lesser known/poorer teams, obviously if a team is found to be going slow then they get kicked out of the season, plus the cars now have way too much technology, get rid of the paddles and launch controls etc and go back to a proper manual gear change... -
