  3. Dr Kranky Sir, I personally couldn't care what anyone else says, I love your tutorials, so please keep them coming... Coolhand, I think your method is truely brilliant, the photos are extremely realistic, they look so much better than ones I have seen of real cars in magazines... Top marks to you both...
  4. I started with 2 Bel Air kits, both missing parts, so thought I could make one model from the two of them... Trailer made from spare Bel Air body... She has a Corvette interior... My original build post...: - http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=50738&st=0&p=566495&#entry566495
  5. I see models over in the US online store selling mosels for a lot less than they'd cost here in the UK, but the price of shipping is ridiculous, sometimes the shipping is double or more than the price of what you want to buy...
  6. I'd love to but the huge lack of finances stops me...
  7. I love seeing the America Police vehicles ours over the pond in the UK are rather plain... I'd also just like to say THANK YOU for being in the Police, I know I'm nowhere near you all, but I just think you guys have to do jobs that civilians wouldn't go anywhere near, also, not sure what it is like for you all over there but here in the UK the Police always get criticised but never thanked... Take care, stay safe and please keep the models coming... Andy...
  8. I use bleech to strip the paint off die-cast models, leave them soak for about an hour and the rinse in warm water and off comes the paint...
  9. Simply STUNNING, these are my all time favourite American cars...
  10. I blew the gearbox in my old Ford Capri 1:6GL, going down the road with smoke and cogs spewing out...
  11. I don't know why the last three images only show as links, I did post them as images... See if this works...: - Interior tub attached to chassis...
  12. Yes they would, that's what the roads are like where I live... Many thanks all for the kind comments... Andy...
  13. New rear wheel arches, these are from the interior tub I used on my '62 Bel Air... Interior door cards, the Evo kit doesn't come with any as it uses a roll-cage... Huge sink hole in the steering column which I filled... In primer... Colour coat... Door cards and Dash painted up... Seats painted and floor flocked... Interior tub attached to chassis... Thank you for looking, finished pictures will be in the Under Glass section... Andy...
  14. Taped to steady while glue goes off... Interior before... After, helmet holder and spare wheel holder cut off... Floor section made from Evergreen...
  15. Many thanks for looking, please comment... Andy...
  16. Hi all, Here are the pictures of the finished Evo...
  17. Hi all, I managed to get this one nice and cheap of E-Bay and thought I'd have a go at altering it, first time I have altered a model like this other than the Bel Air trailer I did, plus, I have been able to use other bits out of the spare Bel Air kit... Starting with this... Making a start, rear of roof section cut off and new panel made out of Evergreen plastic card...
  18. Same here, it's just me and my dog, just another day for me... Bank won't let me have any money, so couldn't even get any food in, bills are growing, just what is the point... Andy... P.S...Merry Christmas all...
  19. Sorry Bill, I have to agree with something like this, I lost a lot of money once trying to buy an X-Box (the first ones) which I was going to give to my nephew for Christmas, Pay-Pal could only recover a small amount as that was all that was left in the account of the seller, who had used a school's address and contact number for his/her details... So with them holding the funds will make it harder for people to rip off buyers...
  20. I know I'm a little late, but if you went for B, could the one with the large garage door be a small Fire/Ambulance station and the corner building next to it be a Police station...
  21. Absolutely stunning...
  22. Hi all, May I ask how do you manage to get deep looking door lines etc and may I also ask what do you use please... Thank you in advance... Andy...
  23. I love this thread, Andy C has the right idea too, start collecting now, you never know what life will bring you, if I'd of had the foresight before I had my accident I would have done the same, mind saying that living in Military barracks I would have been stuck for storing them, I now have the grand total of 4 kits in my collection and with things being tight I'll build them before I get anymore, gives me time to save to buy some more... Model kits are like an old bottle of wine or whiskey etc, they get better with age...
  24. I've not been here for very long, but, I really enjoy coming in here to look at the build and the finished projects, plus, I also like the general chit chat & banter, whether it has anything to do with the hobby or not... As Andy C mentioned, the only posts I seem to see of yours are negative & hostile, for me, the Internet is now my life, it's my only way of being able to communicate with friends, to see the world etc, so why you bother coming here I do not know, but please, don't be so nasty with your comments...
