Man that looks nice. I have thought about getting the Tamiya kit and the rocket bunny trans kit but couldn't find a good reason to, I think I have found one. Excellent job. Do you have a link to all of your builds?

I found this one in the bottom of a "throw-away-pile" of books a guy had at a club meeting about a year ago. It talks a lot about Dave Shuklis in there, man he was an amazing builder. Anyone know what happened to his builds?

Thanks guys for the responses I think I have a grand national glue bomb around here somewhere that I can rob the engine from. The one thing I know already is that the transmission will be to big, the 510 has a tiny transmission and it's snug to begin with.

Trying to find a modern V6 in 1/25th scale for my 510. I can use the Buick V6 out of the Opel GT but I'd rather have a modern one. What kits if any have a modern V6? It can't be a straight 6,already tried getting one in there,no use.

As some may know I have been searching for a first car for a while now,well a few weeks ago I stumbled across a 1970 Cougar in a garage. I talked with the owner and his interests have changed and he wanted the car outta there. It did need some work,but stuff that I could easily do with my dad,only dilemma is my lack of garage. We have two cars,three bikes, and a small suburban house. Well I have a friend who has the room to work on it and is a big car guy to say the least, he also collects models. Sometime in one of our conversations I mentioned the Cougar and told him about it, well today he went and bought it. Not only did he get it, he got it for a steal. The price I was told was 2000, he picked it up for 800. I'm glad for him that he got the car,but then again I still REALLY wanted it and for that price I could have made an arrangement with someone to store it. I have told myself that I will come across another Muscle car in budget someday,but man I was just about to grasp it. This car will not damage our friendship, who knows it might benefit it some way, but I still want it. Any of you guys have similar situation you have been stuck in?

Jeeze! How do you guys work so fast? I'm still looking for replacement decals for the Toyota, The ones I have are VERY Yellow. Who knows maybe I can try and salvage them and go heavy caking on dirt to try and cover them up.

Already got the Game box and Tamiya box truck preordered from my LHS. I plan on making the Box truck something like a mobile hobby shop and the game truck will have real games instead of fake ones.

We all thought Letti Died,but she didn't. So maybe Lin wants to mess with us and let Han live. My only complaint with the movie is the fact that they pulled the amnesia card and then let Shaw get away, kinda annoying. The timeline is rather confusing and I wish they would have finished with the fifth, it had such a good ending. I will go see the seventh one when it comes out,but that better be where they end it. I'm just gonna call it. The crew and the rock head to Japan to avenge Han by killing Shaw. They have to get involed in a street racing circut to get to him. Then ,plot twist, han is alive and Han goes to personally kill shaw,but wait Elena is alive and is held hostage by shaw forcing Han to let shaw go. Other than the plot how about the cars? I loved the Jensen Interceptor and the Blue Ford Escort, a shame they don't make kits of either.

The Revell 510 is 1/25th. I've been looking around at my stash of Datsun's and I think I have come up with some parts that are interchangeable between a few kits. Some correct and some that could be used for Customs/phantoms. Maybe I can make a few bucks selling resin Datsun parts, I'm not saying for sure but I think I might.

Thanks for the heads up Ken. The hardest part would be the rear wheel arches because it's a four door. I just might have to do that.

Phew, I'm not the only one who wants a stock body. I've looked at the differences between the stock and the revell kit and it is doable,but I only have one 510 and don't want to risk destroying the wheel wells. The big thing is getting the correct shape and replacing the right ammount of body for it. If I get any more Datsun 510's I will attempt that and I would love to make a 510 Wagon. These old Datsun's are so sweet

Would there be any interest in a RHD (right hand drive) conversion kit for a datsun 510? I am turning mine into a RHD and was pondering casting things like the dash, firewall, ect and selling them? What about aftermarket parts for the 510?
