  1. My son had an Acura RSX. Stolen last Christmas Eve (happy holidays!) for the engine. I hear the engine in those things is highly "stealable." When the police tracked the car down, it had been completely stripped.
  2. Um, I kind of know that Loewy didn't design the Google logo. Duh!
  3. What I don't get is spending a bazillion dollars on a sound system that produce nothing but vibration, not music. What's the deal with that? I can rattle my car's sheetmetal better than you can? Seriously? That's some sort of accomplishment?
  4. What on earth are you talking about?
  5. Send me a PM and attach the photo you want to use, and I'll make it work.
  6. I've seen it. Heart does a lot of Zep covers. They're big fans (as am I).
  7. Yeah, the band personnel has changed.
  8. When I was a kid that's what I wanted to be when I grew up!
  9. Actually the iconic "Coke-bottle shape" of the Coke bottle wasn't designed by Loewy... but he "tweaked" the design many years after the fact, and many people think that he designed it. But that bottle shape was already in existence before he was born.
  10. He also designed several iconic logos.
  11. And on a similar note... the bozos who think that I have an interest in what they're listening to on their car radio. Wow! You have a radio in your car??? You must be some sort of big shot! I'm very impressed! Here's a clue: I also have a radio in my car. I also have a volume control. In fact, I have a factory-installed subwoofer in the trunk. But I'm not as immature as you are... I don't force everyone around me to listen to what I want to listen to. Grow up already.
  12. Yes! Agreed! I see you... you're a tough biker dude, you're on a Harley, you're the coolest guy ever... I see you. I get it. You're way cooler than me. Enough with the endless revving the engine already.
  13. That's how the family name is correctly pronounced. It's "Will-is," not Wiil-eeze."
  14. And here is the hood in place. I love the color contrast between the gunmetal hood, the brass, and the red. This was one good looking truck!
  15. The finished hood after foiling...
  16. Yes, you'e right. I never liked that generation Mustang... but looking at that photo you posted, suddenly I'm seeing a pretty nice looking little car. I guess my opinion has changed!
  17. I really don't pick ugly cars on purpose, must just be a coincidence that so many of them are ugly!
  18. Photoshop I have. A good printer... not so much. Besides, I'm looking for those "gold" metallic looking decals that I couldn't print out myself anyway.
  19. Anyone know of a source?
  20. I'm talking about mass-market manufacturers, not some guy in his basement casting bodies. Obviously most "one man band" resin casters don't have licenses to sell what they sell, but their sales volume is so small in the overall scheme of things that the big guys probably don't even notice them (or care). But if a "real" kit maker like Revell or Round2 decided to get into the 3-D printing kit business, either via download sales or as disks sold in "brick and mortar" stores, they would have licensing deals in place just as they do now for their injection-molded kits.
  21. Interesting! Thanks.
  22. Remember, do not post hints or answers here! PM me with year, make and model. The answer: 1938 Packard Super 8
