  1. You people who buy coffee at Starbucks are plain nuts. Sorry. No other earthly explanation. The gas station where I usually get my coffee has several different brews, all kinds of different flavored creams, four kinds of sugar (sugar, Splenda, Sweet 'n' Low and one more I can't remember... some sort of latté gizmo, whipped cream... they even have freakin' sprinkles! (If that's what you like in your coffee... ). All your choice. All 99¢.
  2. There's no single answer to that, only opinions as to how it "should" be. Every contest is different. Different rules, different judges. No way you can have a "one size fits all" answer.
  3. McD! Large coffe always a buck. Also at the local gas station, always fresh, several different flavors, even. It's out there if you know where to look... Of course, if you buy your coffee at Starbucks, you have a slightly different experience when it comes to price!
  4. And just think... now when you flush the toilet, you'll know that everything will work like it's supposed to work!
  5. The undying admiration of all the rest of us. Yeah, I know... that and a buck will get you a cup of coffee...
  6. I believe you're right. On the cans I bought the other day, the label says "Made in USA." So I guess that's three things we still make in America... porn, burgers... and spray paint!
  7. Oh, don't get me wrong... I totally get that it's a pain to have to make payments on any loan, especially something like this, which you neither wanted or caused. "I feel your pain," to quote Bill Clinton. But I mean, count your blessings that, for example, you're not in the place millions of American homeowners are in... owing more on their mortgage than their house is worth. In that sense, you got off easy. Still a pain, I know... but again, it could be a lot worse.
  8. Not necessarily, because this jump, like the "moon landing," was all faked!
  9. Is this the first one "Under Glass?" Looks cool.
  10. If there was ever a car meant to wear a "bra," this would be the one...
  11. The story says that with the addition of all US safety features, etc, the price is expected to triple. But that would still be only $9,000... and it would be the cheapest car sold in the US by several thousand dollars. No doubt about it, price, above all else, is the factor that some people use when car shopping. It's the factor they have to use. Not everyone can afford a "regular" car. I would want no part of it, but there's probably a market for it.
  12. I can't even imagine having the guts to do something like that. No doubt I'd pass out from fear halfway down! Or more than likely, on the way up!
  13. Nice easy way to create a detail that 99.99% of modelers completely ignore. You could actually make the lip a bit wider, and if you want to go crazy with detail, use thin strips of black electrical tape to simulate the weatherseal. That will open up a few judge's eyes at your next contest...
  14. It's about the same size as a Smart Car. I wouldn't feel safe in one, but some people apparently do.
  15. Don't know... never have seen it.
  16. Tough luck, but if I were you I wouldn't complain about a $17,000 "mortgage," which is pocket change compared to what most people have to shell out every month. You were incredibly lucky to have been able to buy a house with cash and have no mortgage at all!

  18. That's weird... I see the picture, and so have several others who already gave me their answer. Try hitting "refresh."
  19. Remember, don't post any hints or answers here. PM me with year, make and model (need all three!). The answer: 2004-2010 GAZ Volga 31105
  20. I'd say it's a good idea to never loan out a thong.
  21. I don't know much (if anything) about these types of cars, but aren't the parts you stripped and painted matte aluminum really chrome plated on the real cars? Just wondering why you would paint all the "chrome" parts a matte aluminum.
  22. What's with the GIANT type?
