Is this what passes for Pro Built?
Harry P. replied to Evil Appetite's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
"Pro Built" is a meaningless phrase, because anyone can say it. Who's to say what "Pro Built" means? What standard does a builder have to meet in order to claim that he's a "pro?" Who can prove that any given model was actually built by a "pro," and who says the builder was a "pro?" If someone pays little snotnosed Billy down the block 5 bucks to build a model, does that make little snotnosed Billy a "pro builder?" It's just a meaningless come-on meant to fool the gullible into spending more than they really should. -
Yeah, you're right... the "Contact Us" link on his site doesn't work. Andy is a member here and posts all the time. I suggest you just send him a PM.

Models come in many scales... Don't assume anything in this game...

I don't get the "Joe Buck is biased" argument. I've heard him call a lot of football and baseball over the years and he's never struck me as being biased. What am I missing? -
Well, I don't know about other forums, but your work is welcome here... always has been.

How about it? Real or model? The answer: REAL!

Dominik, nice work! I especially like the "rolled down" side widows... a nice touch!

Beautiful work! This is going to be a real show piece!

Yeah, that's a classic "misheard lyrics" song. I don't think Eddie Vedder even knows what he's saying!

Not so much! Their arrow is definitely pointing up, to borrow a cliché. A young team with a bright future. I see the Lions being in contention next season. -

Rodgers wasn't his usual brilliant self tonite. If there was ever a time to kick your game up a notch, it was this game... but he was just ok. Not terrible, and yeah, the QB doesn't drop passes. But when your QB is also your leading rusher, there's a problem right there. It has to be a real letdown for GB... going 15-1 in the regular season and then getting knocked out of the playoffs. Not only losing at home, but basically getting their butts kicked. And the Saints are also out of it. Both of the Super Bowl favorites bit the dust. That's the way it goes sometimes... -
Trying to decode Pearl Jam lyrics is useless. Just sit back and enjoy the sound...

So why drop off in the first place?

Aaron Rodgers has got to be kicking himself right now. What a time for the best QB in the league to choke! Oh well... at least one of the Manning boys had a good season! -

Yeah, I was watching the game. Wow... I did NOT see the Giants beating the Packers, especially in Lambeau. But hey, good game by Manning and the guys. They get credit for what I see as a pretty big upset win. Yep... it's time for me to eat my words! -

If you're saying that the refs are instructed by the NFL to call penalties against certain temas so that certain teams win and certain teams lose, and that the big-market teams make it to the Super Bowl, I'd say you have a major problem with conspiracy theories! A couple of years ago it came out that one particular ref in the NBA was rigging his calls because he had bet on the outcome of the games that he was reffing, and he got in big trouble because of it. There's no way the NFl could organize such a huge scheme among the refs and expect that the secret would never come out. And even if they could do it (which is impossible), there's no way the NFL would risk the league's reputatiion if the scheme ever became public. There are billions of dollars at stake in the success of the NFL... they're not going to try and rig the system so that only the big market teams make the Super Bowl. Maybe the Browns never make it to the big game because they're just not good enough! And besides... it looks like the Packers will be in it. They're about the smallest market NFL team there is. The 49ers beat the Saints and knocked them out. I'm sure the NFL would rather have seen Drew Brees and the Saints go on instead of the 49ers. If there was some sort of conspiracy in place, the Saints would have beaten the 49ers, because Drew Brees and the Saints would be a much bigger TV draw than the 49ers and their quarterback, who's name I don't even know! -

Aaron Rodgers is so good it's scary... They might as well call off the Super Bowl and just give it to the Packers. I don't see anyone beating them. -
No tie rod? I wouldn't want to be driving that thing down the road!

Ken quit moderating the Trades section a looooooong time ago. If anyone out there is willing to step in and be the Trades section moderator, let us know. Just so you know... it can get messy, you'll wind up dealing with people flinging accusations at each other, and the pay sucks. Other than that, it's a great gig!
