With all there is to see and do in Las Vegas, I can't believe you'd spend time in a hobby shop!!! Go to Vegas and enjoy what's unique to Vegas... the Strip, the shows, the celebrities, the great food, the nightlife, the water show every night in front of the Belaggio, etc. You can visit a hobby shop any time! Why do that while you're in Las Vegas?

Since this is a model car forum (and of course trucks and the occasional motorcycle), if we do put up an "Other" section it would just be a generic place to post any model that's not a car, truck or bike. I don't think it would ever get segmented into specific categories...after all, there are already other forums out there dedicated to sci/fi, armor, figures, ships, etc. This would just be a "catch-all" type area for whoever among us is into any "other" models. The hard-core armor, ship, plane and other builders wouldn't be here in the first place.

Right now we don't have a section for truck WIPs, so they have to go "On the Workbench." If we add an "Other Models" section, I'll move anything I find in "Under Glass" or "On the Workbench" that doesn't belong there to the "Other" section, so that the "other" models don't get mixed in where they don't belong.

It may be small... but it sure is tiny!

Beautiful model that could really benefit from a black wash on the grille and some better headlights. Otherwise, spectacular!

No, not the ones there now, the previous ones from several days ago. There was a picture of pliers, a picture of a coat hanger, and a couple other oddball photos that made no sense.

Thanks for your input. This is nowhere near a "done deal"... I'm basically just getting a read on member's interests... it's always good to be up on what members want, like, don't like, etc.

I agree with that. "Other Models" would be ONE single "catchall" category... no breakouts for specific "other" models. My thought is, if enough members here actually do have an interest in seeing "other" models, it might be nice to have a place to display them... and being a separate category would make it both easy to avoid (for those not interested) and easy to find for those who are.

My opinion: it would be interesting, if nothing else, to see people's "other" models. And I see no downside. If a person isn't into "other" models, they can ignore the whole thing. We'll see how the poll shakes out.
