I used to ride bikes a LOT the kind with pedals and down here its hot in the summer . I would tell my wife I was off for a heatride . And it just kinda stuck . -

Well with a clockmaking background and jewelry repair this might really sound weird but then again maybe not . You can scatter a clock all over the house and I can pick up the parts and have it running in about a hour maybe 2 . The reason being the parts are so precise like you folks are talking about. That being said I like the plastic models because its so different . Its fun getting things that don't fit to fit. I admire the quality of those high end kits but the plastic jobs are just a blast . And for the record I really don't see were much of what I did comes into play with the models .

I have used plastic-models.com with good results . ( Its Tower Hobby ) I was gonna use model roundup for this last order but Doc had me so dang excited about those Cobras that I had the order placed before I realized it !- 26 replies

Welcome aboard James , I also took a 30 year leave of absence and been back in the hobby about 6 months now . The stuff they have now glues , BMF , air brushes , its just amazing , and the talent of these guys . I am constantly getting ideals and most anyone here is willing to help on everything from vender's to howtos . -

I used to role over get up and go to work. I'm retired now all I do is roll over I have been out of the hobby for 30 years , asked my wife the other day how did I get all this stuff around the house done when I was working so much . She gave me this crazy look and said honey you didn't I did I'm in the same boat as Rich and Mike , I just have the time now that I didn't when I was working .

After so many years in business (Not Models) I would HIGHLY recommend for you to take your time . Do your research and ask more then one source for there input . If you can sale them with the mindset each model has its OWN price you will probably do a lot better then I will take X amount for the entire lot . If you have the time and can post pictures on here there are people (and I am not one of them) that can and will tell you that you have a highly collectible or just a average model. -
That is just 3D art on a grand scale Doc ....
