  1. As a last resort I was planing on using a set of Shelby lights and see if I could modify them to look like Cougar lights. Thank you for taking the time to look for me.
  2. I've been playing with casting parts lately
  3. They look pretty close. Not exact but close enough... I find it hard to believe there are SOOOOO many Mustang kits out there but hardly any Cougar kits. Especially of the first generation. And I'm a Mustang fanatic and I find it appalling.
  4. Ok, you guys are going to laugh at me. First off I found a set of Cragars. You see I was looking for them in order to build the rare 1969 Kumpf/ Kenz & Leslie Special Cougar. They came equipped with a 428 Cobra Jet and Cragars among other things. I chose this kit for the build and lo and behold it comes with the very wheels I was looking for. Boy do I have egg on my face. That said I still want to thank everyone who took the time to help find me the parts I needed.
  5. Yes its me again, looking for parts. I'm looking to build a Rocky Mountain Life Insurance Cougar. They came with Wire Wheel Hubcaps as seen below. While I don't know that I will be able to find those exact looking covers I would be happy if I got something that was close. That's why I came here to the experts. Hoping someone could point me in the right direction
  6. Welcome to the forum, Ron. I'm from New Jersey as well
  7. Morning Model Maniacs, Once again I'm on the hunt for some parts and after my last search THIS IS THE place to start looking. That said this search might prove to be a little more difficult. What i'm looking for are the tail lights from the MPC Eliminator Funny-car kit. To the best of my knowledge this is the only place to find them. I'm hoping maybe someone has some in their parts box somewhere. My hopes is to build the rare 1967 Mustang Stallion which had the Cougar tail-lights Thanks in advance for any help you can provide
  8. Good morning Model Maniacs. Its been quite some time since I started a new build, but I've decided that its time to shake off the dust and plow forward toward getting back on track. The motivation for this build was an annual group build held in the Youtube modeling community. The 2022 Pro-Street Group build hosted by a fellow named Dylan who's channel is called N.Y.S. Modeling. As many of you know I'm a bit of a Mustang nut and I was thinking of building a Mustang for this group build. Lord knows I have enough in my stash but there are a couple people already doing Mustangs. So instead I decided to go out and find something a bit different. Which of course meant buying ANOTHER kit that I didn't need. For my entry I'll be building this old Revell kit from 1990. The Lincoln LSC Pro Street Mk 7. I remember when people couldn't give this kit away but now its rather hard to find and pricey when you do find it. I feel like I lucked out when I found this one for what I felt was a pretty decent price.I've always loved the look of this style of Lincoln since the day they hit the streets back in 1989. I even attempted to buy one or two used over the years but even the used ones were out of my range back then. And those that were in my range were beat to hell.Back to the build. I have no actual plans for this build other then I wanted to paint the interior the maroon color like on the box art but I think I changed my mind. I'm going to try and find a metallic maroon color for the body and paint the interior a dark gray. Other then that its going to be build by the seat of my pants. If you like cars with big ole Street meats tucked up under its rear end then you should check out the other builds on Youtube.
  9. Looking forward to seeing how this turns out
  10. II've had so many people help me over the years that I try to help when and where I can. I guess its a Karma thing.... ?
  11. You guys have been great with all your help. I can't express my gratitude enough. I have another set of wheels I am looking for and will post that shortly
  12. That would make a lot of sense. More for your buck.
  13. Mike, I have an extra set of tail lights from a glue bomb I have in the stash. If you want the tail lights let me know
  14. What sucks is, for the kit I'm doing the tail lights are seperate parts and molded in clear. Its a shame to have to cover the entire piece in paint. You would think with the part molded in clear it would save so much time
  15. This is a overwhelming process and I'm not looking forward to it on my build, but it looks like you nailed it
  16. Gotcha, I will check them out
  17. Thank you everyone for the quick and informative responses. This is exactly what I was looking for. Now to find the right option. Off the cuff it looks like either get the AMT Wheel set (4 wheels and tires) $14 plus shipping or the Revell 37 Ford coupe for $11 plus shipping on ebay. Humm..... ?
  18. Morning gentlemen, I hope all is well and that I'm posting this in the proper location What I am looking for is a set of Cragars for an upcoming build but I'm not sure where I can find them. Does anyone know of an aftermarket set somewhere of of they came as part of another kit? Thanks in advance
  19. This is my least favorite Mustang body style so far (Ok I left out the Mustang II years) but I really like the MACH 1 version. I'm surprised of all these Mustang kits no one ever made a MACH 1 kit
  20. Another Mustang build, I dig it. I built this kit a couple years back as a tribute build for a fellow modeler that passed away. It was a decent build
